DISCLAIMER:

Just in case anyone understands me to be a Suhana-hater or something, I'm editing my post to put this disclaimer which I hope will make your read unbiased.

1. I too am a bigger fan of Suhana's than of Ishaan's. Actually I like both characters equally but Suhana's gets a soft corner.

2. I too hate Sonali. But my post does not touch the debate of whether Sonali should have been introduced or should Suhana have realised her love on her own.

3. This post isn't even about the Sona-Ishaan extra Fevicol-giri. It is wholly, solely and only about "Ishaan not understanding Suhana" issue.

Hello my dearest fellow-SGPians !

I am Ruchi, a person who follows this forum every day ! However, I hardly post much myself; I just love reading all your posts instead 😃 which, I must say, are AMAZING ! 👏

So... like I've mentioned above, I've been reading quite a lot for sometime now... about Sona track and hating Ishaan and all that... which prompted me into writing this topic !

Since it's the first time I'm opening a topic, I sincerely hope I haven't broken any IF Rules. 😳 Also, my post is just another view; those who do not agree with it - I'm sorry, I meant no offense ! 😔

Well, I don't wish to comment about Sona's 'third-person' track. But what I want to try and explain is Ishaan's side as I see it.

I've been reading continuously "why can't Ishaan see Suhana's pain?" "why is he such an idiot going off with Sona?" "I hate him" etc etc... Well, for all those, I'd like to bring your attention to these words which describe Ishaan - "Simple", "Caring", "Patient" and "Under-Confident". 🤓

Ishaan was always and still is the caring and patient husband. But he is not a magician or a mind-reader. Being true to myself - I think we can always know that the person we love is unhappy. But can we always tell exactly WHAT makes them unhappy? Similarly, Ishaan too is feeling Suhana's pain. He knows that she is not happy. But how is he to know what exactly is troubling her? 😔

Reeling back my mind to their wedding night - what all did Suhana not say bad about Ishaan? Even we viewers haven't forgotten the way she broke down saying "Mujhe bharosa tha Dad par. Mujhe laga ki woh mere type ka, mere status ka, mere lifestyle ka ladka chunenge par unhone tumhe chuna." 🥺 How will Ishaan forget that? 😔

He has seen first hand what a hold did Sid have over Suhana. He knows he can't (and doesn't even want to) compete with Sid. And even though Suhana has thrown Sid out of her life, Ishaan feels (as anybody else would) that a girl like Suhana will never like him. 😒 He, after all, is shown to be under-confident. So, of course, he'll feel that Suhana, even with all her goodness, won't love back a simple guy like him.

And truth be told, when has Suhana ever praised Ishaan to his face? NEVER. Ishaan koi antar-gyani nahi ki use samjhe that Suhana likes him. Hell, even Suhana doesn't know that she has fallen for Ishaan , how can we expect that Bechara to get this sudden stroke of enlightenent !?!?! 😆

One dialogue of Ishaan's that I'll probably remember for the rest of my life was during the "Dada-Dadi Scooter Ride" Episode when Ishaan says -

"Pyar ko samajhti ho tum; Pyar karne wale ko nahi? 🥺 Sabka pyar dikhta hai tumhe; uska pyar nahi dikhta jo tumhe sabse jyada pyar karta hai?" 🥺

I remember I had tears in my eyes then.😭

Please guys, I don't think it is Ishaan's fault. Yes I agree is appears like chipkugiri when he and Sona are together but think about this - Suhana never wanted Ishaan to be continuously by her side before Sona came tagging along. She behaved with him the way she behaved with the rest of the family. There was hardly ever the "I am your wife. Be at my side." sentiment before. So, I guess, that is why he does not realise what's wrong.

And one last point before I end this ultra-long post of mine - when Suhana never understood Ishaan's love for her even though it is so obvious then don't you feel that we are being unjust towards Ishaan alone by demanding that he suddenly start reading Suhana's mind? Hmm? 😒

For all those who have read till this line - I salute your patience for keeping up with my "150-200 words essay".😳 👏

And I reiterate that I'm not going against the general sentiment of this forum members. All I tried to do was to place myself in Ishaan's shoes so that MAY BE you all shall be a bit less irritated with our Bholu! 😃

P.S. 2: I am a BIG BIG BEEEEEEEEEEG Suhana fan. Even more than Ishaan's. So please don't think I am biased. 😃

Good post ruchi and I appreciate it....

wiase...i really dont think people hate Ishaan.. we all know that Ishaan loves Suhana like crazy... but the problem here is the inconsistency in his character... at some point he behaves like he is getting Suhana's feelings and behaves rudely with Sona ..on the other side, he behaves like he don't care about suhana... initially he used to understand everything about Suhana.. her mood swing... her change in style of talking... but now, i think he is finding difficulty to figure out why suhana is upset..

so i really dont blame Ishaan for whatever is happening... sometime it is situational ...or sometime it is intentional from Sona's side as she has to accomplish her mission...

Fab post Ruchi...Specially the lines highlighting Ishaan's plight and his unconditional love for Suhaana...

I completely agree with you....Suhaana is making life hell for herself by not confessing....May be she is confused/may be not....but just one confession by her will be enough to turn the tables on Sona....

BTW....u don't have to hate Sona......😆😆.... She is a gem who is holding her friendship at stake for her friend's marital success..... It's because we see Suhana so sensible nowadays 😆😆😆and on the other hand we will have to agree SGP unit is nowadays fluctuating Ishaan's character a lot....One episode they show his noble self....immediately the next day they show him kiddishly playing around with Sona like a school kid..... so this fluctuation is what irritates & frustates all... so hold on.... till Sona leaves.... things will get back to normal in our Forum.....😳

U have put ur views very nicely ruchi......n i do agree wid u somewhr...😊😊.....the thing is tht Ishaans maturity & understanding levels r much higher than Suhana.....n tht is the reason y Expectations become a lil more frm him...n v so love Suhanas character tht v cnt see her in such a condition😭😭....so this tym arnd when hes nt able 2 understnd the pain n insecurities her Suhana is goin thru......is wht making ppl not really DISLIKE/HATE him but....u knw...question his thinking........😔😔😔........bt then again another imp point is tht Relationships r never a one-sided affair....u cnt alwaz expect only one person 2 b understnding everytym n d other nt 2 be..........so v cnt really blame poor Ishaan for Suhanas sadness.......n dis thing i guess even suhana wil realise once she confesses her love 2 Ishaan.....n then begins 2 share a true HUSBAND-WIFE kinda relation wid him...😊😊

n i do remember Ishaans lines u mentioned abt........god!!! the way he told her....tht ws so touching.........n u cud actually feel n see the pain on his face..😭...n if at tht tym suhana hd realised hw much Ishaan loves him......the whole ISHAAN-SONA thing wudnt hv happened only😊😊😊......bt taken her cute childish behaviour....dat thing didnt happen.................!!! but i guess tym has come...when shes gona start behaving in a more MAtured way.....n wil understnd hw un-conditionally IShaan hs n will love her...😊😊😊😊

Might I say Ruchi a very well written essay , 100 out 0f 100. I personaly dont hate Ishaan or Sonali either. I hate this jealousy track. As I have belief in Ishaan,s unconditional love and sooner or later Suhana would have realised it on her own . I agree with all your points, you said that Suhana should confess her love to Ishaan and her problems would be solved , right< now Suhana is sseing Ishaan going all crazy about Sonali, meri Sona meri Sona, she doesnt know that Ishaan loves him, she is not sure either what reaction Ishaan would give if she would say that, because she sees him so close with Sonali, just as Ishaan thinks that Suhana can not love a guy like me, the same senario is with Suhana that she thinks that Sonali is Ishaan,s soul mate, Suhana ,s problem is bigger then Ishaan, she is in her IN LAWS house, a complete difference of life style, she adjusted to it , happy there, and now she is seeing Sonali taking over all the attention not only from Ishaan but from Badi Maa and family as well, she feels all left out and alone, now what is she doing to overcome it, she cried, she is angry, she is quite and now she is trying to be a good Bahu, by waking up early, making Tea and stuff, she is insecure, she wants the whole family to be hers not just Ishaan.
So I agree she was horrible with Ishaan, but didnt Ishaan forgave her for that? the change in todays,s Suhana is all because of Ishaan,s support and love( althought she doesnt see it as love so far but she always looks up to him it was always ISHAAAAN, I love the way she says Ishaaaan!!)
Anybody in Suhana,s place would go through this pain, and anybody in Ishaan,s place already been through the pain in the begining, but LOVE doesnt demand Tit for Tat.
We miss Ishaan,s sensibility , which is there but over shadowed by the attention he is getting form Sonali and that shows that he is a NORMAl man who would go out where ever he would find love if he is not loved at home!!! unlike women they just sulk and try to be more FARMABARDAAR types wife and Bahu,and I dont agree with that. If at any syage Ishaan feels that he cant live with Suhana he should say so himself, and should not leave the burden on Suhana that its your choice. The CV has finally shown that Ishaan is a normal a common man who has its limits , faults and nobody is super perfect. And we all know how imperfect Suhana is!!!!
One more scene I want to qoute is when Suhana said to Ishaan that she is not going to leave , and Ishaan siad " Eik choti se problem hai, humari Shadi , shadi nahi hai" and she replied " Toh Kiya hua , yeh to hamari apaas ki baat hai na, mujhay koi problem nahi hai is say, TUM KO HAI KIYA??" and Ishaan replied all smillingly " Nahi MUJHAY KOI PROBLEM NAHI HAI", now shouldnt he have said that we cant stay together if we dont love each other or our relationship is meaningless if you are here for name sake. But Ishaan was overjoyed by the thought she is not leaving, and he has a strong belief in his love, again I would say its a story, a hypothetical situation , in real life, people are more clear about there decessions. I think CARPETS in Kyshaps family are loaded with these left over issues, as CV has put a lot UNDER THE CARPET .

You know what? I thought I shud write exactly this - that Suhana fans shudn't misunderstand me because I'm a bigger fan of Suhana than I am of Ishaan - but then I thought ki chodo yaar, itna justification kaun dega ! But now I guess I shud have.😃
