For the record, I DON'T hate the show. I absolutely love it since it is so fresh and real minus the overload of glycerine, multiple vamps, and stupidity.

I find that this show really gets into the nitty gritty of every day, real life situations of ordinary families. I love the dialogues, I love the script, I love the characters and the way everyone is so fitted.

LOL Anu - what can I say except your are prophetic? 😆 Exactly Anu! If THIS is how they are going to give a culmination/peak to IS love story, then I am not interested. Why? Because I feel cheated. NO one is in character these days - from Suhana, to Ishaan to Badi Maa - every one seems to behaving contrary to what was told to us.

Why would Suhana give two hoots about someone's wardrobe being better than hers? How does Ishaan suddenly have a good fashion sense? Why is BM constantly gawking at Suhana-Sona-Ishaan these days hoping things will go her way? Why are other family members hell bent singing praises of Sona at the cost of embarrassing Suhana? These things and many more... just don't add up. The in-your-face jealousy track and the entire third angle track looks fake.

@abhi786 - I agree with you about the last part. THAT is how they should handle the scene. Suhana deciding to leave the house in an act of benevolence and Ishaan stopping her and declaring his love for her. Not vice versa! I don't want to see Suhana declaring in front of 10,000 people that she won't leave the house because she loves Ishaan! THAT IMO is a cop out.

Shwetha - Maybe that is so ... but then there are still so many other things that are not adding up to Ishaan's original character sketch. Ishaan and Sona's friendship is becoming more and more bizarre to me with each passing day.

@LadyM...regarding the point you made abt suhaana feeling jealous abt the wardrobe, I think what they are trying to show is how suhaana can easily get upset about not being the centre of attention in the kashyap house, she is so used to being pampered by the family, even back home with her dad, she remained her daddy's little princess despite sanjana(who wouldn't mind the attention her elder sis gets), and she is so used to being the centre of everyone's attention, so I won't be surprised if she feels left out or insecure when suddenly everyone has started to praise someone else.

I do agree, about BM's constant monitoring of suhaana's reactions when Ishaan-sona are around, seems irritating, but I think BM desparately wants the plan to work and she was very apprehensive about this whole jealousy scheme that dadaji had come up with from the beginning, I think she needs more assurance for herself that suhaana indeed has feelings for Ishaan,

About, Ishaan-sona's friendship, am as puzzled as you are, it gets as weird by the day, I haven't like the way they have shaped sona's characterisation or their friendship, if sona knows Ishaan so well, why has n't she ever confronted him about his true feelings for suhaana, does she simply assume Ishaan loves suhaana and it suhaana who needs to be worked upon 🤢....however, I don't think it is convincing if Ishaan is going to declare his love hor her first, when he clearly has taken the initial rejection to heart, why would he want to ridicule himself by doing that?

In my POV, sona is in the process of understanding ishaan suhana relationship, she is learning suhana's behavior, you see her surprised expressions when suhana quoted that " ishaan has no dressing sense " and when she told sona that " it was she who chose ishaan and not ishaan choose her "as if ishaan is inferior to her,sona is quite surprised to see a wife who never misses a single opportunity to make a mockery of her husband in the name of leg pulling etc, so suhana is in such a critical stage that there may be some love for ishaan in her heart but still that feeling is overshadowed completely by her superiority complex and by her firm view that ishaan is nothing in front of her , she is so gr8, she is suhana bajpai and blah blah......, sona is just trying to expel this superiority complex from suhana's identity otherwise she will never value others , she need to learn these lessons , she need to be cure from her "superiority complex" syndrome no matter through how much pain she has to undergo but she need to be cured and this is all what badi maa and sonali is trying to do.

As far as ishaan is concern , he will never take initiation and he must not do so if he has got even a little bit of self respect in him, she must not confess his love for suhana after such a brutal rejection by her.

@sinha18, I do not really get the impression if sona understands the IS equation all that well, her characterisation is pathetically OTT and a big disappointment that she is driving the IS Relationship forward.. @bold, Where did suhaana say that she chose Ishaan? 😕...I am not sure if you have paid attention to the scene properly, suhaana tells that "Ishaan did not choose her" and that too in the context where sona credits Ishaan for suhaana's fashion sense, which was pretty silly and I appluad suhaana for coming up with that remark...I seriously don't understand how that makes suhaana dismiss Ishaan as inferior to her. I think suhaana has always acknowledged Ishaan's sense of maturity and even sought his advice occassionally. With regards to her mocking Ishaan, and the "superiority complex" that you have mentioned, I think clearly we are percieving suhaana differntly here, so I would better stop reasoning

Its OK dear, there is no matter of reasoning here as we all are not engaged in any dispute here, you see what happens in a conversation is that one said some thing other mentioned it in another way or completely different way but what is the goodness of such conversations are that every single person thoughts compelled us to infer something and refine our views if we find it OK just like i read ur POV and a little agree with it and infer some better view of characterization of a sketch from it.
so where is the question of reasoning, no need of it, this is the ground where thoughts and views may collide with each other but at last their true identity is that they are just views having no face and no real existence and they compelled to live together peacefully.

Till now in SGP, it has been shown that Suhana doesn't know how much she loves Ishaan.....Another fact is that sshe'll never leave the Kashyap house nor she'll allow Ishaan to leave too.. She got insecured when Ishaan said that (not in that sense) He will leave the house....

So maybe instead of Sona plot, the writers would have used this plot where it is shown that Suhana wants to buy something(s) but due to limited budgets of the Kashyap family, she restricts herself..... Ishaan somehow ( through Suhana herself or by others) gets to know about this and he feels sad that Suhana decided to live with him in the house but he's not capable enough to fulfill her dreams...

The next day in office, Ishaan gets an offer from his company for a better salary plan with the condition that he has to leave delhi and take transfer ( to any new place). Ishaan sees this as an opportunity for fulfilling Suhana's wishes..

He comes to home and talks to Suhana about this..and the outcome is that Ishaan convinces Suhana that he'll take transfer and leave Suhana with his family with the condition that he'll be visiting home for 3-4 days every month.

Note:-Suhana cannot go with Ishaan to any new place because there will be no one to take care of Suhana nor she'll be willing to leave her family.

At first Suhana gets excited as she'll no more have to restrict herself for her wishes. But later as the days were coming close for Ishaan to take transfer, she starts realizing all the moments she lived with Ishaan. She realizes the caring and calming effect of Ishaan in her life. She realizes that only Ishaan understands her and can handle her...

In this way she gets to know that she loves Ishaan and can't live without him. He's more important to her than money. In this way she stops Ishaan on the day of departure and confesses her love to Ishaan......

I guess the above plot would be more emotional, hilarious( with the inputs of Inder n Elesh) and meaningful for Suhana's realization rather than the Sona plot which very OOT. And most importantly the Ishaan and Suhana will be on the centerstage ....
