i totally agree wid tanu abt RB being totally unjustified in her behaviour towards deepak..i have full respect for her as a woman and the trauma she has gone thru bt her behaviour as a mother leaves a hell lot to be desired..the reason given in the flashback is an exaggeration frm a medical point of view..i mentioned in shweta's post too,one can safely have an abortion till 20 weeks,so the reason given tht it was too late dsnt sit well..now,till thn i understand her revulsion for the baby,and totally support her in her decision to not want to have the child..bt after she had the child,when has her behaviour been correct?she says she cnt tolerate his face,his voice..agreed totally to tht,bt she has cold-shouldered him even as a todder and a kid..she had no business having the kid and thn abandoning him emotionally like tht...as tanu said,she wudnt even let him speak to the family and spend time wid thm..tht is just beyond mean and the justification of not being able to tolerate his face dsnt hold good..and frnkly i think the family is also at fault sumwer for letting all this happen..y were the younger generation not allowed to bond wid him?not wanting to upset RB is a very flimsy reason..all in all,i found the attitude of the entire family sorta disappointing..my POV wid due respects to anybody am offending..got a lil carried away wid the rant😳

I don't think you can really view this situation as who was right and who was wrong!

That's really not the point. The point is not how RB treated Deepak and all. Yes of course I agree that her treatment to Deepak was very cold. And we do feel a lot of sympathy for Deepak, but the point the show is trying to make with this track is how we're HUMAN.

Sometimes, we face such circumstances in life and we act like a human. No body can think ahead, and PLAN these things.

Do you think RB didn't know all these years that her treatment to Deepak wasn't exactly 'motherly'?

But the point of showing this was how Radha bua has been experiencing this inner conflict with herself all these years.

That one incident in her life- her getting assaulted the night of her wedding, turned out to not only involve her but a lot of other people in her life. Unknowingly, it involved Deepak's life as well.

But this whole track's purpose was to show us HOW Radha bua comes to terms with herself and finally accepts Deepak. The point is to show how we move on from these situations in our lives. And sometimes it takes months, weeks, but sometimes it does actually take YEARS.

Like Laxmi and the topic maker have said, it is not that Radha bua didn't feel motherly towards Deepak or whatever. The show HAS made it clear that sh'e ALWAYS loved him. It's just her inner conflict- her feelings of remembering that torturous past, the past coming back to haunt her in the face of Deepak every single time....but not only this, she was facing a moral dilemna as well!!!

Do you not think she was battling with herself everyday regarding what's "RIGHT" in this situation? Whether accepting her rapists son (who she loves btw) is right? Whether accepting him would mean that she has forgiven the rapist? The guilt of NOT accepting him, the torturous memories...

SO many things!! So many feelings, conflicts Radha Bua had to deal with all her life!

That is why, this situation is not so black and white! It's not so simple as whether or not she treated Deepak right. Of course she didn't! We all know that! But isn't that human?

And this track, of her FINALLY coming to terms with herself. Finally ACCEPTING that yes she does love her son. Realizing what he means to her...realizing that having this son in her life is a BLESSING not a curse!! All these things, and of course Deepak's unconditional love.

Deepak feeling guilty for her pain...she's realized all this through this track and now as the topic maker said, she feels like being a mother to him! She herself feels like loving him and SHOWING him that affection!

It goes to say, you can't help your circumstances. But SGP is a show full of positivity and this track proves it further. It shows that there is light at the end of a tunnel. Despite Radha bua's torturous past, and Deepak's life without Radha bua's affection, these two have come together on their own, after all these years! I think that is the most beautiful thing ever! And I love the way this has been shown in SGP!!
