And well I'm not going to absolve Ishaan of being a whiner just cuz Suhana is a total tubelight.....his whining still is overdone, I'll maintain that....so unless their relationship is moved forward from the standard staring or talking to teddy scenes, kuch nahin ho sakta IMO😕

bold - true! They haven't shown different aspects to Ishaan's personality. We are just left to our own devices to feel sorry for him. And he is left to his own to just whine about Suhana's lack of understanding of his love. IMO, its not fair. Suhana or Ragini is such a dynamic personality and there are so many other good caliber actors that Jai/Ishaan's character is somewhat masked. Either the channel is portraying it that way, or its the director's new vision - Ishaan in SGP is relegated to the background. So all we see him is during the self-pity or whining scenes. I see even Inder as a stronger personality than Ishaan at this point. Ishaan is not a bhondu. As can be proved by his standing up to Suhana's B.S. But my problem is, he is not shown as much. It is Ragini's story as I can see it.

Now I think Cv's should come out n explain about Ishaans now a days behaviour so every1 should get understand Btw I read an article about SGP dat where Cv's r saying dat now 4 ep dey will focus more on Suhana and kashyap family relation n our IS love story will be 4 side. But I also want IS scenes more .

LadyM, he IS a bhondu....that aspect of his personality can't be denied....but it's also not fair to ONLY keep showing THAT aspect of his personality....it makes the character stagnant and redundant as it's starting to feel for Ishaan now....I agree with you on the fact that he's kinda in the background....well basically that was the contrast b/w IS always....Suhana has always been a dynamic personality and he's her complete opposite, hence a great foil to her....on paper atleast....but all those great qualities of his we've liked....his maturity, his sensibility, his understanding for Suhana, the sweet, simple poignancy of his love for her....somewhere they've relegated THOSE qualities to the background in the middle of all this dragging and now we only see Ishaan whining or moping or the absolute worst which is his useless imagination sequences....that is why we feel disappointed.

The story is about Suhana for sure....but why are the makers forgetting that the reason Suhana is IN this family is cuz she's ISHAAN's wife....that relationship matters too along with all the others....to stagnate it like this only starts to make it seem more and more implausible that these two could ever be anything more than a platonic couple and Ishaan just spending the rest of his life staring at her or moping about why she doesn't love him.

red - 100 % agree with you. I couldn't have said it better.

Although the story is about Suhana, like you said, she is Ishaan's wife. So we need to see a convincing reason why an exuberant, dynamic person like Suhana would fall in love with a simple guy like Ishaan. And for that to happen we need to see more of Ishaan's traits and/or Ishaan to understand his character. I've always liked his ability to stand up to her B.S. and even offer his shoulder for support without expecting anything in return. But beyond that there is nothing new to offer. His dream sequences and teddy talks need to go pronto! And Suhana needs to see Ishaan in a different light - not just a Mr. Nice Guy.... she needs to see him not as a person she can live with, but as a person she cannot live without.

Brilliantly put, LadyM....that is the point in a nutshell and that's exactly what the creatives need to work on.

LOL, no its not Suhana's fault that Ishaan doesn't loosen up. But Ishaan isn't OTT like Suhana either. He is burdened with the truth of having a woman who doesn't care about him for a wife. And he knows her superficiality quite well. She wants to visit the Amroha, because it sounds like fun to do so, not because she cares for Sumitra Dadi's feelings. And Ishaan knows the luxuries his wife is accustomed to or the adjustments his family members had to go through to accommodate her. He doesn't want to expose her anymore and so he's worried. Besides he did loosen up at the mehendi. He was actually dancing with Suhana. It's just that due to Suhana's flighty nature he is more cautious than required. THAT I can understand.

That being said, I don't deny that dragging, whining and self-pity are done to death! Re: Jai's acting - no comments *zips up lips* 😊

Suhana seems to be OTT but her personality is like she is an extremist, either go overboard or dont do anything, she is not balanced, give her time and she will get that balance right as she is getting PRIVATE LESSONS from Badi Maa. Where as Ishaan really needs to come out of that complex ( I am not sure what else to say) that Suhana didnt want to marry him, as it was never him personally it was just that she thought her Dad would have picked somebody like her. And yeh he danced , " Us say aacha to meray Khaloo nachtay!!!!"

he needs to start acting like her husband, how does he expect her to know he loves her when he hasn't showed any signs of it?? show some gestures, stop being shy and all, hold her hands..bring her some flowers, start wooing her!
