Ishaan is Whiner!! IS HE??? - Page 2

I think I will give full reason to d CV's for dis. As per shaunak says dat der is defo difference btw OBS Lolita and SGP Suhana then also dey kept little difference btw OBS Ishaan and SGP Ishaan I guess. Dey didnt kept evry thing same in SGP as in OBS ,may be other wise it look ditto copy 😊

Ishaan is deffo a whiner sometimes, no doubt.....and I loved the comparitive analysis that Shounak has posted b/w OBS and SGP wala Ishaan.....they have deffo made the SGP wala Ishaan way more bhondu.

I remember when I'd first initially watched a few epis of SGP when it started, I'd been put off by that fact and dismissed Ishaan as a total bhondu and didn't feel like watching the show.....it was only later on that I got back to the show and having watched more epis started to understand his character better and realized that there is more to him than just the surface bhonduness.

The creatives are very hit and miss with Ishaan....since day one I guess they've had this problem....sometimes they make him tooooooo bhondu and kinda annoying consequently and sometimes they show him as so mature and sensible and sweet.....I think they are trying to maintain some kind of odd balance b/w showing him as a total phattu as well as a guy that is sensible and assertive on rareeeeee occasions.

The problem that comes in is that after a point it starts to become reallllllly difficult to even imagine WHY Suhana would fall for him or realize that she loves him.....I'm kinda wondering about that these days especially after all the dragging they've done.....like say a few days back when they aired the scene with Suhana finally saying that she won't leave the house....if instead of Ishaan's retarded imaginations, we'd gotten some other kind of scenes that would have shown some growth to their relationship, to the connection b/w them WITHOUT this dose of bhondu Ishaan, it might have helped.

Ishaan is a simple soul....a common man....and I'm talking about the SGP Ishaan here....maybe there are guys like him out there, no doubt.....but the bhonduness factor seriously needs to go down if the creatives want to give any credibility to the fact that a girl like Suhana would fall for him.

Exactly..The relationship between Ishaan and Suhana isnt progressing at all...I am not talking about love and all...Atleast friendliness...Yup...they have slowly turned out to be quite good friends...but whenever I see the episodes..I feel the vibe comes only from Suhana(the way she teases Ishaan while Ishaan is busy in his own dreams)..even Ishaan can do the same na..start teasing Suhana..😉

Great point, Shounak....exactly....we're not even talking about lovey-doveyness here....but when you get to know a person more, when you become friends....along with the comfort level (which they do have no doubt), there come in other elements....like the teasing that you are mentioning, more affection....but sadly the makers of the show are happy enough keeping them in stagnant mode with random Ishaan imagination sequences in the name of "romantic" Ishaan-Suhana scenes....I'd rather see a growth in their relationship....way too sick of bhondu and whiny/mopy Ishaan now....would deffo like to see more of an Ishaan teasing Suhana, standing up to her.

I was soo pissed off at ishaan's behavious today..he is just into his own world and dosent enjoy with Suhana at all 😳 ..How would the connection or the relation grow..He is always into his own dream

Ishaan is always upset that why can't suhana see his love but when he is with suhana he never enjoys little little things with her ............only thing which he does is just stare at her ...............are bhayia bhut ghur liya ab to kuch naya karo😭

Without comparing, one thing I know is that Suhana has constantly been a killjoy for Ishaan, instead of the other way around. He whines because he knows that everything Suhana does or feels is extremely superficial. Except for rare moments like tending to Badi Maa or cheering up Dadaji, Suhana has never done anything of value for the family. They have accepted her because she is his wife. Even for the dutiful bahu thingie, she took it literally by doing all her usual nautanki (which was hilarious btw), but without feeling or understanding the meaning of it. How will he show his love for her when she has time and again told him that she cannot love him? When he tried to tell her that their marriage means nothing yet as they don't have a normal husband/wife relationship, she took it obtusely and ignored the underlying meaning of it.

That is not to say that I like Ishaan dreaming or talking to the teddy etc. It is just that IS relationship is not explored to the fullest extent. I know that SGP is not just about Ishaan and Suhana, yet somewhere I feel like the plot went astray after the Sid incident. They focused so much on Suhana's leaving that they entirely put a pause on Ishaan/Suhana's relationship. They hardly had ANY scenes together, except Ishaan lamenting about Suhana's leaving and Suhana feeling excited/anxious in turns.

Yeah, like Shounak says, Ishaan needs to be more in control. Or rather, we need to see more of Ishaan and Suhana together. There ought to be some sort of tension between them ... their relationship is too platonic for me right now. Ishaan's dreams/teddy talks are not cutting it. Because I cannot believe that Suhana agreed to live an entire life without love, when she understands the meaning of love so well. Even in the movie Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi... Suriji was always in control. And there was that awkwardness between them that made things interesting. I don't know if I am saying this well enough to make sense 😊

@bold: Excellent points, LadyM....I totally agree.....no wonder ppl these days prefer watching the family scenes than IS scenes....there is hardly anything THERE to the IS scenes....they really have become too platonic to be believable as a possible romantic pairing in the future.

And well I'm not going to absolve Ishaan of being a whiner just cuz Suhana is a total tubelight.....his whining still is overdone, I'll maintain that....so unless their relationship is moved forward from the standard staring or talking to teddy scenes, kuch nahin ho sakta IMO😕

if suhana is a tubelight ishan has to take control..which he did is OBS..in SGP for sum reason he dsnt say anything when he is supposed to bt keeps complaining and whining all day long..tht dsnt make sense..either u take decisions or else accept others'..my POV..
