Ishaan-Suhana scenes in their room

Just another random thought....

Almost every single Ishaan-Suhana scene....I'd say close to 99% of their scenes are based in their bedroom.....same location almost every single time....yet personally I've never felt bored or fatigued by it.....

There is so much talk in many shows about wanting "fresh" locations....change of scenery, change of characters....but I feel it is truly commendable in SGP that within those four walls of Ishaan-Suhana's room only they've given us such a variety of sweet, adorable, and sometimes poignant or heartbreaking interactions.....they are limited by angles....more often than not it's just Ishaan-Suhana sitting on the bed or pacing in front of it and yet I never get tired of watching their antics😆😆

Ok I'm done with my random rant now...😆

P.S. I do wish they'd improve the decor of their room though.....they should change the bedsheets.....I was watching a bit of OBS today....Ishaan-Lolita's room has a far better decor😆....or I dunno if SGP is sticking to the Chawri Bazaar theme so that's why the room is like that😆

Interesting thought......I agree Ishaan-suhaana's bedroom seems to be the major location for most of their scenes and needless to say they have had their best scenes here 😛. See that is the thing, bedroom is the most common place any couple gets to interact, especially in a joint family one can't have a private conversation anywhere else in the house without having someone walking in........yet we don't get tired of seeing the same place, and the credit must go to the actors and the writers....cos every single scene they do not have repeated dialogues or the actors do not give repeated expressions, even the body language of Jay and Ragini always seem to fit perfectly with the mood of the scene, they take care in getting these simple things right that it doesn't matter if the location is gonna be the same.....in fact, with number of good scenes we have got in this location, I think even the audience have taken quite a liking to the place 😆....like if you see in FRIENDS, the living room of Monica and Rachel's apartment is such an integral part of the show.

ALso, the room has given the family a lot of scope for pulling Ishaan's leg, ....like the one with 'ek piece mein aur ek piece tum' or 'tapak tapak tapak' one after the nail painting scene 🤣

That is so true Anu! And I must say that the credit for this goes to the writers, directors and the actors for creating such unique situations each time. I have not seen a repetition till date. And hence their bedroom conversations actually lend themselves to further the plot rather than acting as grounds for "hawtness" and mindless passion. Just imagine another serial where what even living the same house would've done!

Hey Anu!😊
Very true - they've more or less established the bedroom as THEIR private nook, which makes it nice and intimate.
Although I must say I prefer the sitting down scenes where Suhana is actually facing Ishaan because in some cases, when he's trying to talk to her and she's walking about, I find it annoying that he follows her about saying 'Suhana, meri baat suno', they're crisscrossing and she's talking into the air, not even bothering to meet his eyes. Very distracting.
I'm ok with the decor though and I love the windows and everything. Sometimes, I worry that the door is open, they're having a private conversation and someone might come in, but then it's that doors-open kind of house, so it's ok I suppose.

Ooo really interesting point Anu.

I totally agree with myvoice too in that even the body language of Ishaan and Suhana is different with each scene.

I think it's also because with each scene, Ishaan and Suhana's relationship has evolved. We see a change in their reactions/body language (as myvoice mentioned) to each other. Plus the dialogues etc. are different too to suit that stage of relationship/mood so it just makes the scene look fresh.

Even though the scenery is the same, I guess since the focus is on the characters and we're so involved in their emotions, the setting doesn't become the focus.

But yeah really interesting. I actually look forward to their bedroom scenes the most. 😆

Totally agree yaar....and great FRIENDS reference there! Indeed so many scenes seem to have been based in Monica's living room or Central Perk....but I guess for an Indian show it's even more commendable since they are a daily show yet still they manage to bring so much variety to the same location and setting of scenes each time.....deffo a huge amount of credit goes to the writers and the actors here.....Jai-Ragini are always in perfect sync in these scenes....that's why they are so enjoyable I think.

Yeah it practically also makes sense since in a realistic situation also a husband-wife in a joint family would only truly get time to talk by themselves in their own room....and many times in the mornings or evenings only when the husband comes home from work....and so that is why these scenes are usually set there.

LOL yeah even the family joins in on the fun....the 'ek piece main ek piece tum' scene and 'tapak tapak tapak' toh is CLASSIC now🤣

LOLL LadyM I toh SHUDDER to imagine what kind of stuff would be evolving to "further the plot" in any other show.....bedroom mein kahaan conversations hoti hongi😆

I love Ishaan-Suhana's conversational chemistry....it's truly one of a kind and it makes them special in my eyes :-)

Hey Bubble!

LOL yeah they deffo have established it as their 'private nook'....good title😆

haha I don't really have a preference as to whether they are sitting down or pacing around....you find it distracting?😆.....I actually like the mix and match....the little pattern is a bit familiar by now with him usually going after her when she gets up in a huff and starts pacing😆 but I love it....they'll get up and sit down like 2-3 times sometimes in a scene😆.....but I enjoy it all cuz I love Suhana's ranting and raving avatar as Ishaan tries to calm her down and make her listen😆....

I'm a bit iffy about the decor....don't like the curtains....and since they are there in that room in like every second scene, it would be nice to have more soothing colors than the yellow and orange they currently are😕😆....but yeah the windows are nice....I don't like the bedsheets though....😆....haha yeah their door is usually open but then they are never having majorly private moments as of now😆.....one time Ishaan did close the door during the nailpolish scene after making sure to tell Suhana not to take it the wrong way😆😆

Thanks yaar Pallo *hugs*

Yeah I also agree with her on that point that their body language has evolved with time in the scenes...yet some things remain so familiar....the pacing routine and Ishaan running after her....I'm repeating myself but I love that😆....and yeah I also love their bedroom scenes the most😆

@bold: Exactly....and that is the great thing about SGP and I admire the ppl behind this show for that.....it's not an easy thing to maintain freshness in the same setting day in and day out....yet they do manage to do it so well.....cuz this is a rare show that is truly content driven....not relying on cheap gimmicks to further it's cause and get TRPs

OMG I just re-read my line, and woahhh man either I'm really tired or just plain loosing it!! 😳 😆

THIS is what I said???:

"Even though the FOCUS is on blah blah blah.....the blah blah is the FOCUS"

🤣

Heyyy bhagwannn!!! *shakes head at self*

Awww you still understood what I meant though! 🤗 But yeah, totally agree with you. It's because the show makers have a story to tell, and are not just using cheap tricks for TRP's and all like you said. That's exactly it I think. The reason why there's freshness to each episode and each scene despite the same setting of the house.

Another reason to LOVE this show. Much appreciation needed! :)
