Ishaan has no backbone.

So many may disagree with me, however I have felt this from the very beginning and today was the icing on the cake that Ishaan has no backbone. I can not believe that he didn't say something. I do not care how much Suhana seems to ignore the feelings of others and seems to look at things from an isolated view point, Radha Bua had no reason and was not justified in slapping Suhana.

in fact this is one point that makes me feel that it is a directorial flaw...

not the comment about ishaan (since that is how they have etched his character from the beginning i think there might be many like him in today's world...i.e. not capable of being very vocal/expressive)

but the one about the treatment of Deepak... somehow everyone's behaviour/stance on this matter does not suit the matured close knit family that kashyaps have been portrayed as being so far... a family that tries to solve all problems through laughter and affection 😊 would not let an innocent like Deepak go through something like this for so many years and years...but then again this is my view and many might not agree...[/B][B]

Definitely agree with you....you are right that Ishaan character has been shown like this from day one, I just felt that today he should have stepped up.....As a HUSBAND......to truly tell Suhana that she is his and he will always look out for her. (oh the romantic in me.....😆) .

I couldn't have said it better, It shouldn't be, Mrs.Ishaan Kashyap , it should be Mr. Suhana like someone said a few days a go, that guy has absolutely no guts and he expects Suhana to love him , no wonder Suhana still thinks about Sid when they were together he actually stood up for her. I just hope that atleast now Suhana actually leaves and Ishaan learns to stand up for his wife and Radha bua learns to control herself. As much as I love and adore Ishaan , he has really let us down this time.

I just done like such husbands who couldnt stand for their wives and yet claim that they love their wives... loving someon with true heart is taking full care of their dignity whereas Ishaan claims that he loves her but never stood for her whether it was the matter of Rajni-Disha ignoring her for long or this slapping scene...

Hmm so I see everyone thinks Ishaan has no backbone. That was my initial reaction when I watched that scence but after certain consideration..I feel differently.

I wouldn't say that Ishan has no backbone whatsoever cuz he's displayed it from time to time in some scenes over the course of the show.....there are times when he refuses to take crap from Suhana and stands up to her in his own way.

In this situation I think the problem is the regard that everyone has for Radha Bua that makes them all mum on the situation....and while it irritates me and bugs me....I can kinda understand why the characters behave the way they did.....in Ishaan's case I think he feels helpless cuz he doesn't know what to say to Radha Bua and he doesn't know what to say to Suhana.....however I still did not like the fact that he didn't even go after her immediately after she left the room.....Inder and Rajni were the ones to immediately go after her seeing how hurt she was and how she left with tears in her eyes....how could that not move him enough to go after her atleast even if he couldn't have stood up for her in the moment?? That bugs me....

As for the real issue of Radha Bua and Deepak, I just felt TERRIBLE for Deepak today.....seriously my heart went out to the guy....how must it feel.....a mother who can't even bear to TOUCH him.....a mother who doesn't even remember his BIRTHDAY.....a mother who refuses to even WISH him on his b'day....a mother who refuses to just eat a piece of cake from his hand....I can't even begin to fathom.....Radha Bua may have suffered a terrible trauma but today all my sympathies lay with Deepak.....NO ONE deserves to be treated in that manner by their OWN mother....this is probably far worse than any kind of torture also a person can inflict on their own child.....I just can't see how this is justified and what explanation Radha Bua can give for not even ACKNOWLEDGING her child's BIRTHDAY?? Fine she doesn't want to look at his face cuz it reminds her of her rapist....but what of everything else?? Her son's LAUGHTER also pinches her?? What the hell kind of mother IS this?? Seriously I could not sympathize.....the ONLY and that too SLIGHT softening we saw from RB today was when she smiled a bit softly and fingered the medals that Deepak had won that Badi Maa was showing her....and that's it.....after that it went from bad to worse....poor Deepak.....this is too terrible.

And Suhana....I can't see from any angle how she was at fault....yeah she lands herself in trouble many times thanks to her penchant for being irresponsible, inconsiderate but what she was trying to do today was just a simple sweet gesture to brighten up someone's b'day....ALL she tried to do was make RB eat a piece of cake and what she got for that was unbelievable.....very interestingly shot scene though the way the camera panned to first show Suhana's smile freezing in place to be slowly overcome with surprised confusion and then gradual anger as she stared at everyone in turn....mostly at her husband who couldn't meet her eyes and wouldn't say anything and that's how her anger grew as she then turned to glare at everyone accusingly.....also interesting was the way Radha Bua stared at her own hand in shock over what she had just done before running out.....

Amazing episode overall with fantastic acting by everyone....but the person I felt the worst was for Deepak....somehow his pain feels the worse right now.

i still don't understand every character like u all do..but i'm happy about the fact that Suhana questioned Ishaan in the precap tht how can u stay quiet when someone slapped ur wife......suhana's character is growing on me slowly.....i always liked ishaan bec. he's too adjusting and sweet but that was not the moment where he cud have stepped in to defend Suhana...

Here is why:

Normally, EVERYONE puts up with Suhaana's ridiculous demands and ways - but you overlook that as she is 'CHILDISH'.

Why can't you overlook Radha Bua's actions because she is an ELDER?

I mean just this ONCE, radha bua , out of emotional desperation slaps her..it is a havoc? It isn't like Radha bua does thousands of aatyachars on Suhaana everyday and Ishaan remains silent. It was just one moment and she has a good personal reason. If a parent slaps a child, should the child revolt? similarily, I feel it was mature on Ishaan's behalf to stay calm and respect an older individuals feelings.

However, that scene was only a minute or two long...so what do we expecrt Ishaan to do? Depending on what happens in the next following days and how he reacts...will decide whether he has a backbone or not.

Just my opinion.

PS- I do NOT appove of Radha's behavior towards Deepak.

Predictions:

I feel Deepak is going to step-up and question Radha's behavior now, thanks to Suhaana's initiation.
