Shounak, Baacha Bilkul sahi bola aur Likha, I say the same thing to my boys , you are what your friends are, snobishness brings arroigance and arrogance is the worst thing one can have, in suhana,s cas , yeas she was sorrounded by rich brats, but if you go back during the first few episodes her two friends were more like PANKHAS or woh kiya khetai hain CHOTAI type, saying what Suhana wanted to hear , but they were kind of warning her about Sid and also when Suhana refused to go back on the Mundap for Pherai both of them said that it would ruin you Dad,s reputaion, so I think its the whole teenage culture these days that to appear COOL you have the right to Bash other people, splash out money and I have seen that usually in groups like that you have one rich brat who buys everything for the rest of the group and they say YES to everything he or she says.
Good work though Shounak, I think all of you are youngsters yourself so its really good to read everybody,s sensible feedbacks.

I think its true, her friends have a bad attitude thats why she was use to it kind of around them. Her dad never said much and her sister was younger so never had that balance between them ...
In ishaans family they are really cool in that they think with their head no-one goes OTT which means that right person explaining to her allows it to go in i.e badi maa and gives her a chance to change because of the differnet people in the family like you mentioned.

Great topic Shounak! I saw it just now, and hence I am replying late.

Like you said, Suhana's friends Suli-Sudhi are superficial and Sid is a total jerk! However, Suhana's parents and her sister are very nice, down-to-earth and easy going people. Their goodness has molded Suhana to a large extent. Therefore she has the inherent qualities of being a sweet girl. However, it is said, "Man is known by the company he keeps". Therefore Suhana comes across as being a spoiled brat.

Suhana has lost her mother at a very young age. Therefore her father has fulfilled her smallest of desires, only to see her happy. Therefore her coping mechanism was materialism. Hence she built walls of frivolity around her. But underneath the surface, there was a genuine person with a heart of gold. Now that her circumstances have changed, her surface has been scratched. Like layers of skin on a coconut, Suhana's layers of superficiality are being gradually peeled back.

So to answer your question yes - a person does behave differently amidst right company. And it happens to anyone. We behave like our true selves amongst people we love, whereas we raise our flags of caution around people we are wary of.
