In general there are many positive things to learn from this serial, which is an "Ensemble Casting" -although the story is focused towards Suhana and Ishaan, but the side characters also have a story and an important role to play. From all these small eventful happenings of the 'side characters' - like the relationship between Ishaan's grandmother/ grand pa; grand pa/ great grand child; love/joy and understanding relationship between the members of a joined family ; understanding/challenging relationship between Ishaan's cousin sister and her in-laws; relationship between Suhaana and her modern girl friends; relationship between a widower father and his two loving daughters etc are events viewers can relate to their personal lifes and learn how to adjust, tolerate and try to see the positive side of a person - so that the person gains confidence, matures and is able to bloom under a healthy environment.Although apparently Suhaana looks to be spoilt and tempered, but her upbringing has been good - she is honest, frank, respects elders , intelligent, and in her subconscious mind has great respect for a motherly figure and more. All these positiive attributes that Suhaana possesses will show gradually with the positive/ tolerant attitude of Ishaan and his family.Simultaneosly, one can see how Suhaana's younger sister (from the same rich family) is so understanding and matured. Also the noble character of Ishaan's Aunty (who herself has gone through difficult times with her husband) is something to learn, and many more...As the show proceeds Suhaana's married life will take a wonderful positive turn, and the audience will also enjoy watching how the beautiful 'Genda Phool' blooms and takes it's ultimate shape.In short I am glad that Star Plus has taken the initiative to show the Hindi version of OBS/ SGP so that it is enjoyed and at the same time a learning experience for a wider audience of the Indian population. It is indeed a very well thought serial, and Mr Ravi Osha has covered many aspects of the comman people, without showing unnecessary twists and vengance and trying to stretch the serial (a very common factor in most of the present Hindi serials). We applaud and salute Mr Ravi Osha for creating such a brilliant serial, and wish for it's success.
skydome, I love your post. The key person in Suhana's transition in her sasural is Ishaan IMO. The way Ishaan analyzed her character and showing understanding and gently making her aware of the life style in the family is commendable. Of course family is also playing a major role in making Suhana feel homely and realizing she needs motherly love and affection.
It feels good to read positive note about the bua... coz some of us afraid she will leave a bad taste by creating problems. Some of us even call her with a pet name "nagin' đđ It's obvious she loves Ishaan more than anyone in the family and feels very protective. But don't you think she is going overboard with her protective nature and shedding rationale. Hope she listens to Badi maa who is very rational and practical.
@ blue - Not showing negativity, vengeance, unnecessary twists is a the most precious gift Ravi Ojha can give his viewers. Even if it is short, they should keep it positive and have several reruns... I tho don't mind subscribing to the channel just to see something good. Don't care if it is eve reruns.
