In general there are many positive things to learn from this serial, which is an "Ensemble Casting" -although the story is focused towards Suhana and Ishaan, but the side characters also have a story and an important role to play. From all these small eventful happenings of the 'side characters' - like the relationship between Ishaan's grandmother/ grand pa; grand pa/ great grand child; love/joy and understanding relationship between the members of a joined family ; understanding/challenging relationship between Ishaan's cousin sister and her in-laws; relationship between Suhaana and her modern girl friends; relationship between a widower father and his two loving daughters etc are events viewers can relate to their personal lifes and learn how to adjust, tolerate and try to see the positive side of a person - so that the person gains confidence, matures and is able to bloom under a healthy environment.
Although apparently Suhaana looks to be spoilt and tempered, but her upbringing has been good - she is honest, frank, respects elders , intelligent, and in her subconscious mind has great respect for a motherly figure and more. All these positiive attributes that Suhaana possesses will show gradually with the positive/ tolerant attitude of Ishaan and his family.
Simultaneosly, one can see how Suhaana's younger sister (from the same rich family) is so understanding and matured. Also the noble character of Ishaan's Aunty (who herself has gone through difficult times with her husband) is something to learn, and many more...
As the show proceeds Suhaana's married life will take a wonderful positive turn, and the audience will also enjoy watching how the beautiful 'Genda Phool' blooms and takes it's ultimate shape.
In short I am glad that Star Plus has taken the initiative to show the Hindi version of OBS/ SGP so that it is enjoyed and at the same time a learning experience for a wider audience of the Indian population. It is indeed a very well thought serial, and Mr Ravi Osha has covered many aspects of the comman people, without showing unnecessary twists and vengance and trying to stretch the serial (a very common factor in most of the present Hindi serials). We applaud and salute Mr Ravi Osha for creating such a brilliant serial, and wish for it's success.

skydome, I love your post. The key person in Suhana's transition in her sasural is Ishaan IMO. The way Ishaan analyzed her character and showing understanding and gently making her aware of the life style in the family is commendable. Of course family is also playing a major role in making Suhana feel homely and realizing she needs motherly love and affection.

It feels good to read positive note about the bua... coz some of us afraid she will leave a bad taste by creating problems. Some of us even call her with a pet name "nagin' 😆😆 It's obvious she loves Ishaan more than anyone in the family and feels very protective. But don't you think she is going overboard with her protective nature and shedding rationale. Hope she listens to Badi maa who is very rational and practical.

@ blue - Not showing negativity, vengeance, unnecessary twists is a the most precious gift Ravi Ojha can give his viewers. Even if it is short, they should keep it positive and have several reruns... I tho don't mind subscribing to the channel just to see something good. Don't care if it is eve reruns.

i dnt think its a general rule..the way u behave is more coz of how ur family dynamics is..if ur parents and family show u the balanced way of life,u learn tht in ur childhood..and when u are mature enugh to understand the world,u take ur decision as to how u want to live, whether as a mannerless spoilt person taking life for granted or sumone who appreciates the opportunities given to u and use them to make life better..i have friends who are both frm middle class and high society crowd..maybe their family circles are diff bt their behaviour, not so much...i have seen real brats in college and hostel, and yes, most are rich people,bt i also know those who wanted to make their parents proud by excelling, coz their family is paying a lot to get them educated in a medical college...my best frnd is frm a really rich gujrati family,bt i have known her to clean her house floor if the maid has not turned up..and respect not only her own parents bt also mine and the rest of our frnds'..money is easily available,bt v dnt squander it...like i said, its ur family environment..in suhana's case,i dnt think she was ever grounded..and her tanttrums are accepted..if i had ever done tht,i would have been locked up in the bathroom..and am the only child..bt there has not been any pampering whatsoever...yes i have been given the freedom of making my own decisions,bt also told tht the consequences also have to be borne by me..
and sanjana is a very balanced person..lot more mature and sensible..so tht also shows tht its the individual's choice of how to live..

i don't believe its wrong to be rich...it may be bad for some(those whose parents don't have time for them) but its never the childs fault.
The thing required is that the family takes care that the child never gets any undue advantage...he/she should be treated as an equal in schools and parents should make sure that they punish the child if they do something wrong...if thats happenning i don't see anything wrong in being rich...
Being raised by a single parent may make one a bit spoiled as the child is pampered a lot but still the child will not necessarily be rude to others...
@Sanayaa,vishmewell-guys your convos are damn funny...
sanayaa-u sure are quite pampered by your dad...even i am and believe me iy feels wonderful when your dad fulfills your wishes...
as i have shared before, i am a lot like Suhaana..i get angry easily and when i am angry i throw quite a lot of stuff around..broken many things😆

Gosh a middle person can also be spoilt,a middle class person can also behave wrong, but it hasbeen a notion in our society middle class ppl always associated wid manners nd rich ppl r always considered to be spoilt brats...But dis is not d case... Rich ppl can be humble, polite,nd sweet actually dey are except for sum unwanted exceptions 🤢 We cant deny d fact dat people who r rich dey tend to get an ego or attitude problem....dey always feel lyk dey r d ruler of dis world nd poor or middle class ppl r no one in front of dem...Here I m not talking about every richy rich person in dis world but many r very irritating....I have personally met many ppl who think dat by d virtue of deir money nd power dey can get every damn thing in dis world... Gosh dey treat odr ppl lyk dey have no self respect... But at d same tym i have met ppl who inspite of being rich r very gud at heart... Dere was dis frnd of mine... Wen she joined our skul we developed a slght hatred towards her bcoz her way of talking wid oder people wasnt really commendable... She seemed very blunt nd spoilt to us....we developed a very bad image of hers in our mind...... But as we got to kno her we all realised dat she wasnt dat bad as she appeared to be...Infact she has a heart of gold...never ever she has tried to act oversmart nd all....Nd we feelreally proud dat we have such a gud frnd...Nd talking about our wrong perceptions about her i do admit we developed a kind of negative feeling towards her bcoz of her attitude but den we realised it was just bcoz she had been in wrong company....
Sumtimes dis also happens dat u tend to develop hatred towards a person just bcoz he/she is rich but u arnt nd bcoz of dis u consider her to be manipulative, bad etc etc....
I agree dat rich ppl have very bad image in front of sum pppl but for me it doesnt really matters whether d person is rich or not... U canbe equally bad nd even worse being a middle class or poor chap....

Talking about Suhana yes she is a very sweet gal... She appears mannerless sumtimes but she has a golden heart... She just needs sumone who can tell her d difference btwn rght nd wrong... I can not say dat her father has not raised her properly but he has showered his love on her in excess.... Sumtimes u have to be nd actually i shuld be strict wen it comes to teach ur children... Luv always doesnt work... He has pampered her a lot man...But how much arrogant or bad she appears she is a gud human being.... Btw u kno wen u r short tempered arrogant nd at d same tym a gud person no one will luk at ur gud quality... D first thing dat gains ppl attention is ur tedi nature lols... Dey tend to ignore ur gud qualities... I m saying dis bcoz i have gone through dis....lols....its human nature lols dey will notice ur bad habits first....
I m luving dus show atleast here sasuraalwaalas r trying to understand her bahu oderwise inlaws never really appreciate u een if u r a gem of a person lols... SGP rox 👍🏼

Agree with everything u said. Ur right, there are rich people who are the way u described, and because of them other rich people who are not bad are also doubted.
I also agree with you on the fact that how people judge u when ur short tempered. Even I have had such experiences in the past. Everyone just looks at the way we behave, nobody cares about how good our heart is. I know people who are soo 'makhan maars', they behave over friendly with everyone, keeps complimenting everyone, always laughing, etc., but when you know them properly you realise everything is just fake and artificial and in real they are not good human beings. Some people also behave like that to take advantage of other people or to gain something from them (it can be monetary help, transportation help (if u have a car and they dont), help in studies, etc). But unfortunately artificial people like them always has many friends and followers, and 'real' people like us are always misunderstood 😭, just cos we say wats their in our hearts instead of hiding and pretending!
So I think such people are more dangerous than people who argue or fight and appear to be arrogant.

👏 Very well said! I agree with you, this seriel teaches people to see the good side of people and try to develop it instead of judging them for their negative aspects, cos most people are not bad, its just that when our attitude and perception doesnt match with theirs, we 'think' they are wrong or bad. But actually we might not always be right about people. We need to give people time, so that WE can understand what they actually are. Even if people's attitude might not be right, if we are able to make them understand properly and give them right kind of advices and encouragement, we might be pleasantly surprised to see that they understand their mistakes and try and change them 😊.
I also agree with every word you said about SGP. The seriel, its concept, story line, characters sketches, everything is just perfect, realistic and relatable 👏!
