no rijul1 is rite, bengalis hv a custom dt mom's shud nt b present in their sons wedding.. this hs been for ages.. now time hv changed so may b mom's r going in their sons wedding bt still most cases they dnt go atleast in west bengal (india)

Dear i m very much from WEST BENGAL Kolkata to b precise... n all my kakus n kakimas stay there... n i hv attended all the weddings.. n i hv never seen anything like that....

even i m from kolkata and my family members also go for the marriage😊 bt u can ask them there is a custom in more traditional household and many still follow😆 , doesnt mean dt if ur family or my family donot follow there is no such custom😆

i din say that there is no custom.. there culd b such a custom.. but majority folks dont follow n well i dun think.. that just coz its shown in a Tele-show.. it has to be necessarily THE only custom..😉 to each his own...
