Why the 5 year leap??

i really like dthe way the show was going.. it had a different plot and diffrent story line.. like she beign a dancer and falling in love with a politician son.. a diffrent story and a different plot.. i dont think they shud incorporate the 5 year leap and spoil the show . . i really liked the formal on screen romance too.. 😉 😉
