Congratulations to Jennifer n Gautam. Very well deserved.
Jen did what she did with ease. Never short of expression. Never felt she had to struggle.

Gautam gave it his all. An author-backed role added to his hard-work. Showed his versatility. Outstanding.

Great day for the show.

Arshi,

Like u said, Danny was the star of the day. He is always bang on with the dialogues n emotions.

I liked the second half. This is how it could have been. People pulling each other's legs, showing jealousy, love and all.

Chubby Saras looks so handsome n cute. And Saraswati did well with her dialogues n acting.

I don't get it. Why can't we get a pregnancy track?! 😡
It's a freaking love story! They can show a honeymoon track and having a two year leap to show their little ladoo or mirchi. What the hell is going on?!?!?! I have a feeling this new track will not be focused on samud but it will be focused on that new character. This is insanely crazy and I am just fed up with it. The show is ending so why not show a happy samud family?! The characters in the show aren't made to solve others problems or at least they should have samud family track and also the new upcoming track at the same time. I just don't know what to say.. 😡😡

Arshicsji, the daily dose of bytes is a sumptuous alternative for the actual mindless episodes. I caught only the sagai & shaadi episodes from last week and the last 2 episodes. The whole of saraswathi's resurgence is not just an irreverence towards the original saraswathichandra's story, but it also has brought discredit upon life's sensitive and respectable issues. Our writers' thoughtless writing operates only within a framework - an evil antagonist who plays pretty puerile games in a hare-brained and illogical manner, one dumb lead who falls for the games meekly and one smart lead who will spend next few days trying to defend the dumb and outdo the evil. Then abruptly the disjointed narrative will be rushed headlong and the events would be tied up in an arbitrary and irrational manner by and by exposing the evil. The flimsy plot and the scenes will not be seamless and the consistency and the facts related to the characters and events are subject to change. This is the SOP of our cvs and whatever may be the chosen theme everything boils down to samud incompatibility and their characters' butchery eventually. This sequence too has witnessed mishandling samud relationship, kumud's deplorable behaviour with a new addition of massive saras character butchery. Saras is shown to be dumb, obtuse, ignorant and regressive.

The fundamental premise itself is ill-conceived (SM resurrection). Here the initial premise of the plot was not established and indeed was not even considered - i.e personal trauma of saras in dealing with a mentally unstable mom and in the process reconcile himself to his pent-up turmoil and finally bring it to a release or closure during her rehabilitation. Hence the creatives couldn't build a strong case or events for their faulty premise. The major focus was shifted to a fabricated melodrama and saras character was twisted to meet the needs of that drama. The storyline was deviated and disrupted by the anti-kumud tirade and the marriage fiasco created by cvs. Saras should have tackled his mother's illness first rather than focusing on the wedding issue. The current cvs have made a steadfast resolve to keep this new kumud consistent. They never show even a glimpse of her old personality nor explore any new facets. The following traits once acquired by kumud are kept intact till date. 'The sole ranger' attitude, unilateral decisions, emotional blackmail, saras figuring low in her priority list, neither confides in him nor trusts him in extreme situations, self-destroying nature. Now saras character too is largely victimised by the writers. It was sown predominantly in the fake amnesia track where saras's actions and portrayal were very 'unsaras'. Here it is even worse depicting him as regressive and tactless lacking perception and judgement. In the past saras has shown enormous courage, strength and w.r.t to samud he is the driver of the relationship, the dependable and a sane person to take decisions. Here the cvs manipulated it to their own whims and reduced the character's believability. When the problems called for bold and sober responses his lack of self-confidence and timidity got the better of him. His spinelessness and inaction are regressive aspects which were unwarranted under the given circumstances. Kumud is invariably portrayed as gloriously stupid and as having blatant disregard for saras and she in turn makes him a victim by projecting the same attitude. So the commitment, truth and honesty in their relationship was mishandled once again. They both lacked a sensible and solemn view of a grave issue. Why they had so much uncertainties and reservations when they should have actually stood up for their rights and relationship? In this whole situation saras was mostly solicitous about SM's insane desires, but not about her remedy and a commonsensical solution to the marriage issue. Two things that were primarily needed were royally ignored i.e expert medical care and the presence of LN to make way for the baseless and 'forced' events.

To me the fake sagai episode seemed to the worst in recent times in many respects. Saras and kumud who survived against all odds and tumultuous life situations in the past behaved in an impulsive and irresponsible way. Mainly the institution of marriage and the sanctity of the reputable tradition was trivialised and ridiculed. Saras's absurd act to stall it and the shoddy execution of the whole event. SM's poor interpretation of her character and the ott manner in which she enacted. Her intentions, words and activities were in contrast to the way she conducted herself. The same tomfoolery continued in marriage scenes too. While gumaan looked pathetic SM's actions were exaggerated and amateurish. GR was apt and indeed intense. The main highlight (imo) was the dansum drama which reminded of the street play which had the real purpose and relevance, but was poorly executed. Here the drama was senseless and contrived, but was well presented. Dansum played off each other brilliantly and Kusum was sweet and adorable after a long time. However the ideas and sentiments behind the entire sequence were just claptrap. When I saw kumud's innovative water therapy my head was reeling. It was not even funny. In reality these kind of shock treatment (the play too) without medical supervision may inflict serious damage or trauma to the patients. The Howard chandra turned dobochandra simply turns a blind eye to these facts. The positives of the reunion scene were 1. SM has toned down tolerably 2. Kabir made an earnest attempt 3. Samud were actually present in that group scene, not BDs or solo shots. The last episode was a 'feel-good' one and as usual danny excels in whatever little opportunity he gets to showcase his prowess.

I wonder if the cvs ever look back at their own stories and connect with them or they think only in terms of tracks. The level of writing makes it extremely hard to relate to the characters. With every passing track they prove their ineptitude and lack of intent. So the next assault on the cards seems to be the repeat of London/Mumbai debacle.

And future seems bleak. Shipping off Saras n Kumud to somewhere and solving some problem? Huh. I dont know why I am doing this.

Yeah, it was nice. They tied up some loose ends, showing her shadi pics was a nice thing to do.

Danny's emotions at being the only motherless one, and then SM's acceptance were really sweet.

Then they did try to explain Kumud's extreme step, so it was an ok episode .

Maleeka, when she's not trying out her insane act is quite good in emotional roles.

The only thing left is LN closure.

Also, if the article is to be believed, next week onwards action must shift to Rajasthan? Why that? What is the purpose? Why add new characters and do away with the old? Samajh nahi aaya.

I know, he has become a mature actor through the days and is a delight to watch. He has been with Saras and it's now impossible to imagine that in the last leg we won't see him. That's actually insane of the cvs to go for a location change at this point of time.

Santhi,

That's what has been the biggest strength of this show - the lead pair Gautam and Jen. Even on their worst days, they are good, and there have been very few moments when we can fault their personal performance. And the days the writers directors have been kind to them, they are superlative.

Thankfully this is one contribution of SLB , the PH have not been able to dilute or throw away, and that's the only thing that has kept the show going for as long as it has.

Even I can't figure out a new character at this point of time. Had the cvs used some dimaag, the SM memory loss track could have lasted longer when Saras tries to help her get her memory back and the bittersweet journey back in time.

But they just rushed into doosri shadi and then ended it just as suddenly with the dubki treatment.

Now they are left with one month to spare, so I guess that's enough time for one more almost separation and reunion, the only thing our cvs seem capable of writing.

@ bold - that sums up the entire adhoori dastaan and It's the writing that's been adhoori, in fact.

There is so no research done before introducing the mental health issue. There is no attempt to write anything except a rehash of another forced shadi. Anyway, everything that we have ever loved about the show has been simply butchered by the cvs and I don't think they even know what the ethos if this story was when they took it over, and even whatever they did know, they had no intent to preserve and nurture it,

Saraswati is already saying Saras instead of chandra.
Kabir kab gaya anushka ko chodne? Aur abhi bhi saraswati ka ilaaz chal raha hai sardi ke liye. Ek din mein yeh sab hua?

Saras keh raha tha ki Jitna garv sm ko un par hai uss se jyada garv kabir par hoga. Aisa Kya kiya usne.

Aur adhe din mein saraswati saras ke bare mein itnaa jaan gayi ki abhi se uss par garv hai?

CVs ab uss school ke udghatan ko mat bhool jaana. Ek hafte mein thaa. Kya kya nahin kiye saras aur kumud ne uss school ke liye.
