Granting an extension for 6 months is not a guarantee of 6 months of play - time...this typically means the show is dead man walking types...the channel would have given significantly less leeway on TRPs now for the PH...there would be montioring probably on a weekly basis...and show could be yanked even earlier...

For e.g. Conan O'Brien Show which has been running since last 27 years...when it started Conan had to beg each day at the end of each episode with the studio bosses for an extension for next week upto an year.

I guess this is a decision the actor, channel and PH take together...since everyone's interests are interconnected..and its a small world anyway...

Neways...Good thing is we will get to see GR in another role...SC is destroyed anyway...So Good riddance to current torture and Godspeed to GR.

as for people saying they want to see trp of show after gr exit the show is getting tvt of 3.5 - 4.0 range with gr in it also so its not like it is no 1 on trp chart

but i dont think show is running because of gr only
it is a love story and they need 2 people for that not 1 and more than gr and jen it is samud due to which show is running
you can take example of another show tumhari paaki in that hero has been killed and they brought his look alike but people just want the character back as they are attached to him..
