Recently so many shows are killing off the main leads and why always with the shows I watch. Let me count. First qubool hai, then madhubala, but the ended up bringing vivian back .. Then pyaar ka dard but go the look alike way I quit that, then tumhaari pakhi...again lookalike track Heard rang rasiya is doing it soon..Again look alike track and now saraswati chandra.. I will watch only till gautam is in it but what I don't understand is why production houses and the channel can't understand that new trend of kill the lead and bring a lookalike or another lead will not help the show but make it worse. They should put themselves in your place and think will the fans like it? Of course we won't. What shocks me more about this show is that they are killing the title character.
In indian tv, Channel and production houses have an ego of continuing the show and dragging instead of ending show nicely with the leads. Sorry but a truth is this show lost the charm over time because of dragging. For sooo long rumours are going round about it ending and now I would rather the rumour come true instead of watching this show with a new lead. They are living with a big misconception that viewers will enjoy a show more of we kill off the lead but that only eventually leads to the downfall of a show. This new killing trend and bringing in new lead or lookalike is becoming repetitive now.
They will kill of saras and they will see how wrong the were. The results will speak. On a lighter note I am glad gautam is returning on a finite show that won't get stretched. I think finite shows are better. But then even the ego of stretching remains at times... Life ok show tumhaari pakhi was suppose to end but the lookalike killing track was the result of stretching a show. Gautam's new show is a year though so hopefully it won't stretch as a year is long enough for a show to last.
Someone please make the channel and production house understand that killing off the lead and bring in a new is NOT the solution and get out of the habit of dragging a show more than necessary. I see many people quitting this show after the character of saras ends. Correct me if I am wrong. I was a iss pyaar ko kya Naam do fan but we saved it from happening there. Sorry about my long post
