The episode starts with the priest announcing that the wedding was fixed for next week. Saras and Kumud both exclaimed together: Next week! and then shied away.
Kumud and Saras pretended not to be in a hurry to marry while all the family laughed it away teasing them nonstop.
When the priest announced that the engagement should be held the next day in the afternoon, Dadaji exclaimed joyfully thyat everything would be ready. Kalika fumed and the family rejoiced.
Then VC said that it was important to contact Laxminandan and Gumaan to inform them. Koti baat kaaki approved but Danny turned reticent. Dugbaa also asked the family to let it be and contact the Vyas only after the wedding as she didn't want any evil eye on her Kumud n her happiness ( referring to Gumaan of course).
Back to her room, an unleashed kumud danced wearing the jewelry of Saras' mother. She was ecstatic and kept turning round and round expressing her happiness when Kusum entered the room. The two sisters started sharing some sweet past moments when they saw Kalika at the door looking disgusted n promising herself to ruin Kumud's happiness. When the sisters enquired what she was doing there, made an excuse, asking Kumud what to cook and went away embarrassed when Kumud told her to ask the elders. Kusum looked on suspiciously at Kalika as she went away.
Kusum also asked Kumud to get the pearl that Dadaji gave to SaMud otherwise she'll have to serve Saras all life.
Kumud went to give Saras his dinner and entered his room to find him in a towel. Embarassed Saras went to hide in another room. Kumud proposed to get his clothes for him so that she could look for the pearl. Saras kept shouting for his clothes but KUmud was busy looking for the pearl. Finally when he threatened to come out, she gave him his clothes.
He came out and found her staring at his mom's green saree. The two had a sweet moment. Saras accused her of giving excuses to come to steal the pearl. He said he would never give it to her and after marriage, Kumud will always be behind him. Kumud promised to get the pearl before the engagement.
Before leaving, she asked Saras if she coiuld wear the green saree on their engagement day. Saras was about to say something but Kumud thought he would refuse and said that it was fine. She left leaving Saras thinking!!
The next morning, the preparations were going full swing in a joyous atmosphere. Kusum announced that Danny had gone to Mumbai for factory work. Saras too has gone for some work and has asked not to disturb him.
Kalika kept fuming and thinking how to ruin it all. Lost in her thoughts she was not paying attention to what Yash was telling her about the decorations. Finally she had an idea!!
Gun and Dugbaa were looking at Saras' engagement ring and promised to make Kumud happy. They were taking out all the gifts for Saras when Koti Kaaki came to tell them off and how the family's money was being looted.
Dugbaa was upset but Gun reassured her that it was fine. As the two ladies went away keeping the engagement ring in the cupboard, Kalika looked on with her mind scheming and plotting.

Saras is going to his car. Both tyres are punctured. Kalika is shown going in an auto rickshaw, telling to herself that there would be no engagement if the dulha doesn't reach on time.
