Like I'd said yesterday, this is a totally nonsensical approach to going about adding the "insanity in love" layer to a character. Because what Saras did for and especially after her proposal (was it a victory air jump or an act from a man who'd downed a few MDMAs with couple tequillas? I'll go with the latter) was an insane, hyberbolic reaction to an equally insane, hyberbolic love confession. In the preceding street romance, the dude probably forgot it's an Indian village not a cozy romantic spot at Harvard yard or Pinnochio's. Someone rightly said a few weeks back that it's equal opportunity character butchering by the creatives and how true is that..

I was expecting her to confess (as if that's needed) on her most special day; her wedding day. But no, the CVs had to ruin a special occasion to give way for bathos. One must never set the qualitative bar higher up as far as this show's concerned 'cause one never knows when the next tornado is gonna hit and devastate the short-lived glory anyway🤢

Another thing that's so glaringly obvious is the blind reaction from GR admirers. I'll just say that if Jennifer had been given a similar "awful act" to perform, I'm sure this forum would have gone batshit crazy.

There is not much future for us as viewers if we do not treat it as one off scene. Since many of us think Saras is the last character standing or staying true to his original characterization.

But Ratnanagari is no more a village. Couples shamelessly hug in front of their parents(unmarried ones too) and boys propose to girls with chocolates n artificial flowers. We have come a long way. So this street romance is nothing.

The love confession was not needed as pointed by you was the prime reason for the ridiculousness of the track.

Its not as if he does not know how she feels about him

So getting her to say she loves him was not the point anyway.

It would have made sense had they just began courting, he has professed his love, but she wont come out and say it , so hes not sure of how she feels- well even then it wouldn't have made sense, but you know what i mean..

Now what he wants her to do is show some love to him, initiate some loving, tell HIM in a romantic, personal way what he already knows.

This saying I love him to some random guy in the street was meaningless because she has already told and shown him much more about how she feels for him. The feelings are not in doubt anyways.

What was needed was a romantic acceptance from her to him and only him, just as he had been doing it in their private moments.

The sardar kartar was just stupid writing.

After Saras rejection n marriage with Pramad, it was Kumud who is in trouble, n Saras was helping her in every possible way. Now as things are smooth, CVs may want to lighten things between Samud. Mainly transition to Kumud !!

So it would be Saras who goes to depression about LN, Guman, n mom Saraswati. It would be Kumud's turn to make him happy n remove his tensions... he may again lock himself in room, hurt his hand, become moody, but Kumud should be jovial to lighten up his mood !!

So hoping Saras will be back to normal n its Kumud turn to run behind him n give us more cute moments !!

I personally have stopped being frustrated at change of and in Ratnagiri after Kusum fell for Saras and was given free-pass by her VC family. End of sansakaar in the family and gaon. Rest appearence of highways, n-number of cars not to mention well maintained parking lots and brutally murdering our beloved characters Saras and previously Kumud being depicted as insensitive lover and the list goes on...

Nevertheless Kartar Singh was funny made kumud say she loves saraswatichandra outloud for Saras. Specially the happy family "nazar na lage hum do humare do" line.

Hopefully once Guman and LN enters Saras will be back to his original version. What bothers me more is how can VC think of calling Guman and LN for Samud marriage after knowing well with what had happened to Saras leading to Kumud suffering at the hands of Pramad. Saras on the other hand does not want to get associated with LN and certainly not to Guman for obvious reasons. CVs could have instead used the fact that Danny got married and Guman came after knowing this fact to Ratnagiri makes more sense to me.

Chalo dekhte hain ab kya hoga. By the way all this lovey-dovey scenes will probably end now under the kali chatrachaya of Guman-Kalika evil plots.

Mena, I think the change in CVs is responsible for this.

The new writer may not know all the minute details of previous tracks IMO

I doubt if there are detailed notes kept, if there is a continuity check at all

Otherwise, VC would not have decided to call LN

The haveli woul not have been Dadaji's since it has been mortgaged by VC for LN earlier

And of course Kartar singh would not have happened

And anyway new writers are probably not given enough time to know the old episodes in and out, due to time constraints of a daily soap.

To be fair to Ved Raj, the poor guy was probably told the day he joined :

Kal ke liye likhna hai

Kumud se I love you kehlana hai

Saras ab fun loving type ho gaya hai

OK, thinks Ved Raj,

Fun loving = panjabi, sardar ji - no one more fun loving than that

I love you nahi bolti - sardar harasses gilr > girl gets angry > girl shouts I love saras > sardar happy > does bhangra

Ho gaya ji likhna, do episode ki chutti

Done dona done done

Can see how strongly you have felt about the Kartar act! And I agree a ranting was needed-because this was a rather unfortunate-and completely unlike SC approach to an expression of love.

As a standalone act -it was very good. It just didnt fit into the subtlety and sensitivity with which we associate the Saras-Kumud love. But then, much has gone wrong with SC long ago...The golden days are clearly gone. We continue to watch, because of Gautam, and a few Saras-Kumud scenes that continue to touch us and make us happy ! Beyond this -there is nothing more to the half an hour of TV time !

Unfortunately, everytime we get a beautiful scene between Saras and Kumud, our hopes rise - only to be disppaointed in the very next episode,.

After so much hullabaloo- over the "I love yous" and fixing of the wedding, there is a horrendous Kalika and her completely obnoxious approach to saras and Kumud. With logic going completely awry, I hope they remember to show that Saras is unforgivably upset with Guman and LN -and the reasons why!

You never know, what turn SC will take at any time, it may just meander into something else more illogical than this one ! !! :-)
