And they have realized that their love is strong and deep and above any social sanction and rituals,

so they are content to wait for marriage.

Abhi bhi aisa hi hoga, they may move apart for some time, but that distance will be a separation of time and space, not of their feelings and emotions, not between their hearts.

Ab to Saras aur Kumud bhi bhi apne aap ko ek doosre se alag nahi kar sakte

Toh yeh, Guman aur pramaad aur kusum kya cheez hain

You are such a sweet heart Arshi. Thanks so much for this post. It really makes me feel better. Not sure why I have become so attached to Samud...

Well that's because they are special, and good and kind and honest people who have taught us the

meaning of love and commitment, and relationships

Two characters beautifully written, portrayed by two great actors who have more than done justice

to Saras and Kumud.

Aur Jo kuch bhi gadbad hoti rahe show mein, on screen off screen drama hota rahe

We will always be grateful to SLB and sp for bringing Saras and Kumud into our lives

and homes.

And we shall always love gauti and Jen for portraying Saras and Kumud with so much finesse, depth

and richness.

For we have found fault with anything and everything, at one time or the other

The only points of consistency in this show right from day 1 have been the nearly flawless

performances from these two

They have played Saras and Kumud as real flesh and blood people, flawed, prone to make mistakes

less than perfect, yet good at core.

But I must say, today's epi was like a horror show, sinister air throughout with a sudden shocking end

you make fair points Arshi...

my problem is that they are now being kept seperate on the most flimsy, immoral and illogical of reasons...and the subsequent character destruction which is also happening...kumud character is mutilated so much in the process...and so also all the rest..

the cvs seem to going to great heights of trying to keep them separate...feels like Andaz Apna Apna...mein Tejaa hu..mark idhar hai scenario...mark being keep them separate...

in any case, when you have only two characters standing more or less true only in their love for each other and nothing else...it is a highly diminished narrative...

Hgg, the problem is the show has been made like the love story of Saras and Kumud unlike the original work, which was about the journey of the man.

Any love story in my opinion, has a definite happily ever after end. Once the conflict is over and they are joined in love, the love is no longer the centre around which the story can revolve.

So, as a love story, this needed to be a limited period show. Unfortunately when you drag on a story, there will be less and less you can run it on

If you look at it, kusum track is more or less a repeat of pramaad, Guman and kalika are similar,

instigators, to propel the story forward and unnaturally force events to happen

the only constant is Saras and Kumud and the emotionally charged scenes we get from them

Baki sab toh as you say, wash, rinse repeat, till the bottle becomes completely khali

I said the same earlier Arshi. Its just about the leads now. Others are brought to bring twists. And leads alone can't take it further. Especially if it's a love story. I feel they should elevate other characters and show their journey. Show them thinking out loud. Of late I don't see anyone thinking out loud. Every one is just shown reacting to the situation.

Oh I just remembered. Only kalika thinks out loud. And it's quite a sore both for eyes n ears.

@ Santhi,
Indeed so, too much reliance on leads, but there the CVs do have a challenge,

most times viewers are not interested in anything except the leads

and parallel tracks are simply ignored.

But well they are creative team,

so if they do come up with compelling parallel tracks,

I am sure we will enjoy it, clearly keep the leads in focus is easy ticket.

@ annete,

While there is pyaar ke anek rang,

the fact is that the aim is to keep Samud apart, and not to explore

different types of love, aisa hota toh kitna achcha hota

As it is by turning kusum also obsessive, violent,

it just seems like a repeat of pramaad days,

same needless obsession to hold on through negative blackmail

actually kusum and meera prem, had it been handled like meera prem,

would have been another type of love entirely

Infact kalika is shown as this person who has no emotions at all,

barbaad Kumud is all she lives by,

which is so unnatural.

Otherwise pramaad kalika love - the parasitic kind would also have been interesting to explore,

Danny kusum - the selfless love where he loves enough for both of them,

and enters into wedlock knowingly that she loves his brother,

would have been another dhansu emotion to explore,

Had he married kusum knowing the truth

But all this requires time , attention to detail,

intelligent thinking and advance planning of tracks.

Situations have to be allowed to evolve from actions and thoughts of characters themselves,

not enforced by the villains and vamps.

Now if you look at how story moves

Chalo, ab Danny kusum ki shadi karwa do,

Kaise,

Kalika will do something

Chalo ab kusum ko Kumud ke against kar do

Kaise

Kalika will say something

Chalo ab Saras aur Kumud ki ladai karwa do

Kaise

Pramaad hai na

Chalo abhi log bore ho gaye kalika aur pramaad se

Guman hai na

Agle 6 mahine, usko karne do

Phir pramaad ko bula lenge

Well said Arshi.
Once they projected love between the leads as the main theme, there is no looking back for them.

For everything else, like you said there is kalika. One man orchestra. An eye n ear sore.

But we did get an overdose of Pramad in suvarnapuR. But it was just that.

I wonder what happened to Kumari. The character n actor were both naturals. Bubbly n lively.

I noticed that saras n kumud scenes have improved in quality and their progression is being shown well.

But absence of kumari and handling of other desais has been patchy. Spoils the big picture.
