Did she deserve this cheating.

If Saras did not want to marry her, then he needs to have the guts to stand up and say it

Who is he to play God and decide that kusum will be happy with Danny?

He cheated an innocent girl, tricked her into a wrong marriage

That in my eyes is a very wrong

No girl deserves to be married off to a man who she does not want to

Saras's character has been severely maligned in my eyes

Marriage is for ever, it's a tough journey two people undertake together,

And to tie them forever in this without their will is wrong that nothing can justify

Specially if the girl is going through an emotionally tenuous phase like kusum

Then to play with her emotions like that is incorrect

I am sorry, but by this thoughtless writing, cvs have destroyed Saras, who till now was a strong and upright man, who always did the right and honest thing

The Saras I knew would never condemn a young girl to a wrong marriage,

Nor would he play such a low down trick with his own brother.

Saras was not honest. But, he didn't do injustice to Danny. Danny knew kusum loved someone else and was ready to marry her 'ankh band kar ke'.

He has no right to play God. He did this as an apadh-dharma which he thought would work in long run. Just a calculated move. And yes he was wrong in keeping kusum in dark. But taking her into confidence would have never worked. Desais are a crazy lot.

My point is, it's his life n his brothers life too. And he saved both. He made a move that he thought is right. More right than others I would say. How people judge it is just a factor.

Wrong he is but still better than others' decisions.

It was his life n his brother's too. You are given a long rope when it's your life involved. Just like kusum ji is given again n again. VC still doesn't know she initiated this mess by asking G danny n kumud to stop the wedding.

Arshi..here the question was never about Kusum...it was about how the Desais want to prove that they can marry their daughter off.
Kusum who was cursing her fate cos she didn't get married to a person?
and What about Saras? What about him marrying someone he doesn't love?
I agree that she got married to someone she didn't know...but on the very fact that Saras can put his life at stake to guarantee that Danny would keep her happy and it was just about that...oh Kusum has to get married.
Why should Kusum get married to the person she wants but that person doesn't even love her back?
Someone like Kusum doesn't deserve this sympathy and Saras has acted like an older brother to her in making a decision which will keep her happy for life.
what was the alternative that Kusum was faced with otherwise? Marry someone who doesn't love you back? How would that keep her happy? The Desai's were nothing but left fooled here. So wasn't she being cheated then? Or that's okay because its Kusum's zidd.
many women out there get married to men they have never ever seen or met.
Atleast Kusum knows who Danny is and she actually got a taste of her own bitter medicine.
What hypocrisy is this that its not ok for Kusum to marry someone she doesn't love but its ok for Saras to marry someone he doesn't love?
Saras has done this all in good faith.
He had every right to think about his brother and all he did was promise that she will marry someone who will keep her happy. Now if they really treat him like a son then have that faith in him that he would never marry her off to someone bad...and in a way her getting married to Saras would've spoilt her life completely...Saras may not have been physical towards her like Pramaad was to Kumud but he would never have been able to give her any happiness and ultimately Kusum's bubble would burst and she would come home running that she is unhappy cos Saras cant forget Kumud.

And now when Danny finds out that the man she loves is Saras and she is ready to kill herself if she doesn't get him- ?

You don't play with people's life like that Santhi , Saras ki yeh chal galat thi and this doesn't match Saras

I call it very very poor writing, with no thought of characterization

Was he upfront about the fact that he had said no to Kumud before seeing her? No
Was he upfront about the fact that why he broke his marriage off with Kumud? No...they came to know from Sunny
Was he upfront abt the fact that Pramad is dying? No
so basically Saras isn't actually ever upfront and in this situation how could he be? Kusum wudnt have agreed to marry Danny cos she is so blinded abt her infatuation for Saras.
His approach is wrong but this does always happen that then later they will forgive him.
its absolutely absurd how Desais are acting like a bunch of kids. they should be the one to say No way..Kusum cant have what she wants out of zidd and enter a marriage where there is no love from the guys side...and if they have agreed for Saras then why not Danny...

''kuch nah kahe bas chup rahe ''...i just wish kumud could read his khamoshiyaan more clearly n trust him to be right about things than cry n beg n be so unreasonable all the time...she keeps jumpin in n out of the rabbit hole...as for kusum...lets see how the desais handle her sucide attempt...im all for the kumud/saras rift ...let the desais handle pramaad kusum alone😆

Kat, I agree he took kusum into consideration when making this decision. He took some liberty. Like an elder brother. Kusum put everyone in the spot. Its not a straight forward situation. In such cases this mistake would have been huge.

I don't want Saras to marry kusum, nor do I feel Danny should marry kusum
But to disregard kusum because she is selfish - mujhe nahi Jama

I had hoped that of all these senseless creatures, Saras would be the one who would take the right approach, he claimed to support kusum as she is weak. Yeh kaisa support hai - dhoke ki shaadi

But I guess cvs also don't really look at characters as people whose life story is being told

It's just creating twists and turns and drama that is important.

and Arshi I wouldn't call it a wrong marriage so to speak...a wrong marriage would be if Saras had married Kusum...so what choice did he have left.
He had to choose from 'wrong' or a greater wrong so he chose 'wrong' or what will be perceived wrong.
Kusum will learn to love Danny because she is being an immature brat about a one sided love...but what was the solution otherwise...like say if Kumud had been stronger and not asked this of Saras..what was the solution? Kusum finds another guy? whom she would never 'love' anyway?
and this would not happened as now they are 'defamed' because the baraat went back...so no one would marry kusum. boohoo as an ultimate goal of every girl is now shattered.
Atleast Saras knows that Danny will keep her happy! If Kumud is under the perception that Saras would've slowly learnt to love Kusum then why cant Saras have the same views towards Kusum.
I know the difference was Saras knew who he wud be marrying and Kusum doesn't...but Kusum would never have agreed to marry Danny and Kumud wudve compelled Saras even more to marry Kusum.
Like Santhi said..in the long run this is the right decision.
its just a shame that CVs didn't play the card a bit different...make kusum mature enough that she would've called Saras and said she wants to marry Danny.
n the other thing is how could saras marry kusum...what would Danny go through when he found out? he would die. he would feel so betrayed by his brother.
this entire Desai clan is so utterly selfish. Kumud thought of her own sister but didn't think of Danny? why? cos Kusum doesn't love danny so its ok.
Why shouldn't Danny get what he wants and Kusum get whatever she wants? Why shudnt Saras fulfil his duty as a brother when Kumud is allowed to fulfil her duty as a sister.
Arshi...I am very happy with this turn of the story! Kusum kept in dark or whatever...she deserved it cos she is nothing but a selfish b**.
and what I would've been happy with is that instead of Saras being blamed..its Saras who is angry about this whole situation..ignoring Kumud..
whats wrong here is Kusum committing suicide and all that cos she didn't get saras...its pathetic.

but I don't get it why it would've been ok to marry saras...that's dhoka to. aren't they all kidding themselves that she would've been happy? she wouldn't have been.
Yes Saras could've atleast spoken to the parents and if they agreed then would've been less of a dhoka as sometimes parents take these steps in the benefit of their children.
but Saras also sees himself as a part of that family enough to make such decisions...the approach is wrong I agree but there were only two alternatives:
he marries her and she stays unhappy for life
she marries Danny and atleast their is a hope of happiness
