Saras is day dreaming. He is putting the ring around Kumud's finger as both are looking at each other lovingly. When he gets back to reality, he smiles looking at the ring.
At the haveli, everybody is happily waiting for Kumud with aarti. Kalika is not happy and wondering why Pramad is making life easy for kumud. But realizes when Kumud comes that things are not good. On the other hand, Saras is busy buying saree with Chandrika and the latter teases him that he and Kumud will get married before Kusum.
The family gets to know that Pramad has refused to give divorce. VC tells the family what happened at the court hearing. Kumud on the other hand is telling Kusum how she had to accept Pramad's conditions as he is very stubborn and may ruin Kusum's marriage ceremony if she doesn't go with him. Kusum doesn't agree that Kumud sacrifices her life for her happiness. Kumud does not listen to her and packs her things to leave.
Saras and Chandrika are shown at the temple to get God's blessing for the saree and ornaments they have bought for Kumud. Saras prays to Durga Maa to bless his love!
At the haveli, VC is adamant. Kumud is not going back to the BD mansion. Mr n Mrs BD reach there to plead for their son. Pramad comes there and says that he only wants to make amends and dies peacefully and finally, seeing the BDs so desperate, VC has no option but to let Pramad lives in his house. Kalika has an evil smile on her face and is congratulating her chote seth in her mind for his shrewdness.
Finally at night Saras comes home to see Kumud upset and telling him off
- Where were you? What was more important than me? My eyes kept searching for you.
- I went so that to come back and never go away
- It is now too late.
- No it is not! I have asked for ur hand and I have brought the wedding shagun too.
Kumud is shocked and looks sadly as a happy Saras shows her what he has brought. Before she can say anything, Saras hears Pramad coughing. He is shocked to see him in the haveli and finds out that he has come to live with them. There is no divorce. Kumud tells him that again it was too late!
The sindoor box falls from his hand and lands at Pramad's feet. He comes to Saras and says that there is no sindoor left in the box, to which Saras replies in between grtted teeth - even if there was any, I would have never taken it from your filthy hands!
An angry Saras takes Kumud by the hand and closes the door of the kitchen to have a talk with her. He is lived and can't believe that Kumud has accepted to give that man a second chance.
- Why didn't u ask me?
- U were not there! Where were you?
- I went preparing for our wedding after asking ur hand from ur father.
Pramad comes there and asks Saras not to be angry at Kumud. Saras asks him to go away. Kumud too asks him to leave them alone but he touches Kumud's arm. A fuming Saras pushes him away and throws water on him and yells at him - don't you dare touch her!
Kumud looks on with a shock expression!
