Arshi, haven't watched the episode yet but I have got the gist of what happened from your's and OSJ's post. So Kalika did bargain but will use it for future, not good. She will strike again when the iron is hot. I agree about his deal with God but then why with Kalika as well. What a cheap trick and what are these Cv's planning ? We again have a seperation and we again have to wait and see if anything will work out for Samud or not. If this show goes for another yr fans will go mad. Wait and wait and maybe we will see Samud together in the last episode 😕

...so now a Jab Tak Hain Jaan with role reversal...

The whole premise was silly in the movie...did it feel silly here?

Not here Hgg, here it was an instant decision by Saras, I haven't seen jab tak hai jaan, but here, Saras already carries that baggage from his childhood,

So it seemed expected .

Janu, I seem to be the only one happy with this deal with ganpati bappa, for bappa loves laddoos and will never let his laddoo suffer.

And anyway , we know all about Saras and his kasams, pish posh !

Arshi I think you have great patience that's why! We have seen the journey of them being seperate but yet together. The show needs to progress from this. I dunno i feel once Pramad's back in the picture, kumud may anyway distance herself from saras!

But yeah if we get to see samud moments then Phir no reason to complain!!!

Arshiji,

I've always had some complaints about the way the CVs use stupid superstitions into the story line to drive home the message to the viewers. Be it, the bells tolling as divine accreditation of K's realization of love, ink falling on the portrait to indicate something's amiss and so forth. But still, they've never bothered so much so that I would dismiss them as 'pure silliness' and let that linger in head because my suspension of disbelief radar would give those scenes a complete miss, for like I said, they're crucial plot devices in this medium after all.( I'm not taking a dig at any belief system here)

But today, I couldn't take that stupid promise Saras made to God. Would he have done it if it were his mom? Or if K was married to him with kids? How could a guy like him fall prey to post hoc ergo propter hoc fallacy? Not to mention the "near death experience cum sudden and dramatic revival" of Kumud. She's on life support you say but WHERE is the darn life support? These things irk me to no end. Maybe it's just me!

This dude sure falters in making decisions when thrust with immense pressure. Now I'm thinking he'd coerce Kumud to help P in his last days, who knows? 🤢

PS: Like Happy ji says, you're way too kind. 😊

I know at present the stock of the CVs is way too low with us. But I don't think it was propagating a superstition.

Maybe I am living in my happy bubble, but to me it was more about Saras and his panic and desperation and not about Gods giving Kumud back in exchange for whatever.

I have been feeling this whole track is a rerun of the marriage track, albeit in a different way.

Whenever he is forced to recall his mothers death, his reaction is of flight. He still hasn't splayed those demons.

And again , seeing that Payal and Kumud near dead, the man panicked and made another stupid resolve.

I think Kumud recovered, because she recovered, not because the cvs wanted to show a superstition.

But they certainly wanted to show Saras and his fears and insecurities being again the reason for char kadam ki doori.

I think Saras and his fears and Kumud and her sense of duty will always become barriers in their relationship, but with each crisis they grow closer and the next jolt has to be bigger, but it will still be these two reasons that will pull them.

He made that promise because he was forced to believe that their efforts to come together caused this. Obviously that would not be the case with mother or wife.

I think he has a strong reason to believe so. On top of it when someone's beloved is fighting for life,
guilt can make people think of worst.

I too felt the same Santhi, it was his fear at play here. Not superstitions, his past, his history is what is responsible for this kasam

Hi there
I am like the new kid on the block here. You really do write really well. But I think 7 is a bit generous for the epi. It was some sort of a joke of an epi. I know hospital scenes arent the forte for indian dramas but this one really did take the cake. I mean what surgery and where? Not a scratch on her body. And the funny thing about kalikas demand is that its not even there. Like cvs couldnt think of anything but just had to pull off that done to death trick. Her jobs done and saras is going to do whatever she says just because he said so? She has nothing more to offer like shes going to take her blood back now. Like wth.
And what is up with dukhba... what is saras going to do if the doctors cant. If that was the case he should have just talked and cried infront of her from the beginning instead of the operation drama.
And omg the pact. Like really? That reminded me of chuck and Blair where she does the whole god pact thing. Doesnt work but works like an elastic for the "I am not worthy of you" phase. First saras then kumud then saras now again kumud and back and forth. The "worthy" one is ready to pounce! * hint hint. Haha
Sorry for the long rant but yesterday's epi was just cringe worthy. The only saving grace was gautam! Thank god for that.
