The whole premise was silly in the movie...did it feel silly here?
Janu, I seem to be the only one happy with this deal with ganpati bappa, for bappa loves laddoos and will never let his laddoo suffer. And anyway , we know all about Saras and his kasams, pish posh !

Arshiji,
I've always had some complaints about the way the CVs use stupid superstitions into the story line to drive home the message to the viewers. Be it, the bells tolling as divine accreditation of K's realization of love, ink falling on the portrait to indicate something's amiss and so forth. But still, they've never bothered so much so that I would dismiss them as 'pure silliness' and let that linger in head because my suspension of disbelief radar would give those scenes a complete miss, for like I said, they're crucial plot devices in this medium after all.( I'm not taking a dig at any belief system here)But today, I couldn't take that stupid promise Saras made to God. Would he have done it if it were his mom? Or if K was married to him with kids? How could a guy like him fall prey to post hoc ergo propter hoc fallacy? Not to mention the "near death experience cum sudden and dramatic revival" of Kumud. She's on life support you say but WHERE is the darn life support? These things irk me to no end. Maybe it's just me!This dude sure falters in making decisions when thrust with immense pressure. Now I'm thinking he'd coerce Kumud to help P in his last days, who knows? 🤢PS: Like Happy ji says, you're way too kind. 😊

He made that promise because he was forced to believe that their efforts to come together caused this. Obviously that would not be the case with mother or wife.I think he has a strong reason to believe so. On top of it when someone's beloved is fighting for life, guilt can make people think of worst.
