Just wanted to share my thoughts on what happened yesterday
It's only now I have had a chance to fully comprehend how ugly all that turned,
As a representative of CB readers and writers I would like to state a few points
1. CB is about episode discussions, and yes at times it does get into discussion of personal life of actors, so we shall to try to limit that to only those off screen aspects that have a direct bearing on the show.
2. At CB we have always been able to say what we feel honestly and openly, and also been able to disagree with each other without insulting anyone.
3. If you do disagree with anyone's POV and want to share it, please do state your disagreement here or in a separate pm with the writer.
4. Of course you can choose to not air your disagreement, but do not then carry it to another thread and make indirect references to the writers in a manner that is insulting.
5. We are all mature here and will be able to enter into healthy debates and discussions and defend our povs and respect that of others
6. However, when indirect comments are made without taking names, that are derogatory to a writer and his/ her writing style, that's a below the belt attack and unethical.
7. As a thread maker, it is my duty to insist that on CB please enter into direct exchange of views, but make sure that you do not comment indirectly using veiled references, and you do not insult any writer or reader.
8. CB is a collaborative thread owned by us all, we have always protected and nurtured its openness and diversity, we shall continue to do the same.
