So from hide and go seek to chess? At least some improvement along those lines. Take a bow, writers😆

Saras is confused like the viewers too about Pramad's reformation. If they're planning to spoil everything by leaking crucial plot points, then why even lead the viewers into experiencing the so-called suspense? 😡

Mr BD's filial affection, P's sudden metamorphosis into a caring hubby is sure making Kumud to believe what she wants to believe. I am sure the novel deals deeper into the inner conflicts of the characters in a way which the tv show can't possibly compete with. It's always easier to not dwell into the characters' shades of grey esp that of the leads so as to elevate them.

Arshiji, the only scene which I liked was the last one where they sort of have a telepathy talk. It was so romantic😛😛. Saras reminiscing one of the joyous moments of his life, with the drizzle, looking at Kumud and them having a 'talk'; she reciprocated for a change too. It looks like she hasn't fallen out of love as yet. Just her cognitive dissonance clouding her judgement. (I'm just tired of ranting about Dobosundari🥱, that's why I'm sparing her today😃)

One more thing: My cousin used to be an IPK fanatic and she says that there was a similar telepathy scene in that show too. Same director perhaps?😊

@ bold - true

Yes one of the current directors, Arshad Khan directed IPK too, most of the best romantic scenes in IPK were directed by AK.

That would make sense, Shrija. AK is currently using the Arnav-Khushi template on Saras-Kumud... 'Arnav-Khushi template' here would mean AK's directorial 'stamp', since he appears to be the resident-romance-specialist 😳

Ivy, I am not sure if there are any similarities between the two. My cousin doesn't watch SC frequently and she watched today after a long time. And she took a glimpse of that scene, so..

Here they both were discussing P, but he wasn't the central theme of the talk, if you know what I mean? It was them assuring each other about how to deal with the situation at hand, nothing more. In that sense, I like it. Do not know how Arnav-Khushi scene was played out. 😊

Bold: In CC, I analysed one sequence of IPKKND to gauge some elements of AK's 'stamp'... Post that, I could distinguish his signature mise-en-scene in the few Saras-Kumud sequences you and Arshi directed me to... That is why I've termed it the Arnav Khushi template... 😳

Signature mise-en-scene would include almost-same or highly-reminiscent character placement, camera angles, shot lengths, props, techniques (voice-over) and use of entire 'film space' to suggest discord/possible tension etc... Distance is bad... Middle-ground always needs to be 'erased' between leads in a signature AK sequence. Saras - Kumud being on different 'planes' is a portent of the storm to come.

Jinki yaad mein hum dewane ho gaye ,
woh hum hi se begaane ho gaye .
Shayad unhe talaash hai ab naye pyar ki ,
kyunki unki nazar mein hum purane ho gaye.

aur

Ek tarfa hi sahi ye mohabbat hum nibha deenge
is duniya ko hum naya chalan sikha denge
yu na sahi aise hi sahi...

i would only like to say that while both the Desai Sisters are giving each other a tough Fight for the Title of the " Queen of Stupidity " ... with their Dumbness Quotient reaching new heights everyday ...

but i would still like to give it to our " Mahaanta Ki Murti " Kumud Sundari ... for her " Dialogue of the Day " ... Remember what she said when she saw that PPP talking with VC ... with her eyes all filled with Tears of Happiness ... " Kahiin Meri KHUSHIYON Ko Meri Hi Nazar Na Lag Jaaye ... "

Now its Kusum's turn ... Beat that if you can ...

Thanks Twila, I was so distracted by Pramaad the chess player that i missed this gem...😕...😲...😆

... For the purposes of clarity, 'break' is not to be taken so literal because it was derived from a promo whose M.O. was totally symbolic. Break thus, could represent a significant 'daraar' between Saras-Kumud, a major misunderstanding, major damage caused to their equation which could be either mental, emotional or physical. Ergo, the 'break' purely refers to the Saras-Kumud connect taking a severe hit. Pun unintended.

I am on a holiday and cutoff from civilization and tv..

currently in between locations and checking out the Baby CBs from my phone...

Looks like nothing significant missed from the story'soverall direction...On the contrary good I did not get to even read about it..

Would have puked at the Sweet Prammy scenes ppl...thats just too much to take...

Ppl are cursing kusum...why? ...what did she do wrong?

- Kumud is into Pramad full time...and from the posts so is Desai clan...
- When Pramad mentioned Naveen - Kusum marriage, did dear Kumud say no way?...read some WU where she sort of said I will sort this out...yeah...like she has sorted out her own mess so splendidly so far!
- Also read that saras thinks Pramad is now Sweet Prammy ...

So if the whole world is delusional and going on mariage reformed track...why is she ONLY being penalized?...Why not the same hatred and brickbats for Kumud whose behaviour and desires on Pramad reform are driving the whole mental hospital and its inmates that everyone else has been forced into?

Also I have never seen kusum look even slightly romantically at saras...so why are we biasing her character with our own biases just because we know the story?

Also if everyone in the story has moved on...Kumud especially...why shouldn't saras...with or without kusum?...why should saras be exclusive for Kumud...Who really doesn't care for him?...like ...imagine for a moment that Prammy is good...will Kumud care for Saras?..The answer would be no.

Notice that she remembers him as his strength...that silly hand smiley ONLY when Prammy goes off the reservation...the moment he is back its goodbye saras...

So why not saras and kusum?...
The eternal love story is dead and domesticated anyway...
