Poor Saras, you really feel for him. Especially loved the first eighteen lines. Superlative 👏 Beautifully encapsulates what Saras and his entire world have been reduced to... Kumud, Kumud's hurt and heartbreak... His desires come second, and even they are binded irrevocably with Kumud. It is a stone on his chest, it drowns him, it shackles him. But then, he would outright refuse to be unshackled. The sort of a man he is, he will never settle for a pain any less acute or relentless.
Thanks pasumarthisa, for so touchingly highlighting the plight of Saras and putting me up to this.

Arshi,Very touching. Lump is back again. The way you expressed is so beautiful. Saras ki vyathaa really came out.Saras is a unique/rare character. He doesn't sulk at others for his suffering. Doesn't hold anyone responsible. Not exactly the 'zindagi ka saath nibhata chala gaya' type. But, moves on carrying the baggage.Last few lines were especially well written about how he feels now.Truly applaud your writing skills.

Beautiful post on the plight of Saras, His pain, his character, everything about Saras which we have all been seeing but found difficult to say in words. You said it all in these few lines, What an ode to Saras.
Thanks dear.
