ooh Arshi, you finally wrote about Saras!
Does that mean you sort of get him now?😊When I look at Saras, I see strength, and love... and pain...suffered in silence, flaws also but those are not of self-centredness but naivet (about his parents, his step-mom, the mini-society of RN..., the Buddhidhans...)Without Kumud, he has nothing and nobody in his life, yet he didnt want to cling to her in his despair, think of that also? However, when he discovers her in misery, he is trying to help her with all his might."...Na koi hai, na koi thaZindagi mein tumhare sivaTum dena saath mera o humnavaz...Ho chandni jab tak raat, deta hain har koi saathTum magar andheron mein na chodna mera haath...Wafadari ki wo rasmein, nibhayenge hum tum kasmeinEk bhi saans zindagi ki, jab tak ho bas mein......Jab koi baat bigad jaaye...Jab koi mushkil pad jaaye...Tum dena saath mera o humnavaz..."Hope they show Saras and Kumud snatching a "haar ki jeet" from fate... They deserve nothing less!
i fail to understand why silence is always taken as a sign of weakness...he is a man of action ...which always speaks louder than words...modesty in something so rare in a man that it is a virtue ... world needs more of action and less of slogans...everybody is just complainin and nobody is ready to do the dirty work...world needs more men like saras ..strong men, compassionate men,men who listen...

Happychaapy, You are right. you know, I have always been quick to blame him for Kumud's plight. Because he himself never shows his pain. He is not the self pitying, I am miserable kind, more the kind who has lived with rejection for so long that he expects nothing else.He has his ways of dealing with pain and anger, and till Kumud came along it was work, work and work.An example of a man who has channeled his anger and pain, has immense self control. He appears weak because of his silent, but has a lot of inner strength! And like his family, even the viewer sympathy is often against him, me included!

Like happycappy said, Saras is all about naivette, lack of forethought when coming to understanding social equations. His decision was based on not taking Kumud along into the depths of despair he himself plunged into. He is flawed, weak in some aspects. But, very strong in most. Very compassionate. He might have had trouble in saying his 'dil ki baat' but never blinked to say sorry. His silence has won my empathy long time back. When he was in Ratnanagari and no one was warm to him. Kumud is all about public posturing. She spells out right and wrong verbally before she does anything. That posturing gives her strength to abide by what she thinks is right., But Saras doesnt need that. He can talk to himself. Anyways, for public posturing who is around to listen to him? So he made a habit of talking to himself.Saras is a great success story. Of how inspite of personal trauma a man with right attitude can become successful in career, stay compassionate and not bitter(like Pramad), accept his mistakes right away, respect relations and stand by his words. Very endearing. And I notice that every dad would want a son like him. VC was all over him and treated him like a son. Now BD. I wish Saras himself realizes that. His character is the crown jewel.PS: Have been watching the episodes from June, where he repeatedly promises to stay by her side at all times. He is living his promise even if it is not the right thing to do.
