Hi Arshi, very interesting CB tonight... khoj hi khoj dikh gaye, aapko..😆
aur khojne walon ko kuch mila hi nahi...😔BD came close to finding someone...he ws looking at Saras so searchingly today, it wd be a shockingly red herring if he ws not wondering if he'd found the missing "businessman's son"... He seemed to decide against saying anything further for the moment, in front of Alak, though. Hmmm... well the whole family is good at keeping secrets...😃Kalika ws the only one who actually found something today, though she didnt know what exactly it was..that she had found...😲PlusIt got snatched away by an indignant Saras.. Wonder how he came to have that though... hadn't he returned it to rightful owner?Anyways Saras isnt a good minder of jewellery - he doesnt seem to have figured out one of mum's paayals is missing...😆Kumud today didnt make any sense to me,,,,, she sounded weird saying that she ws still the same...when she is clearly not!!! I think she just wanted to see Saras' face...😆, so took herself to his room to tell him to ...go away abhi issi waqt.. ...And yet again, he stood his ground, and wanted to see her surakshit... This pot has been stirred so many times this week, hope it comes to a boil next week.Nobody seems to have told Pramad that the right age to throw tantrums is like, two??!! He broke a vase and a plate today... Also was violent with Moorkdas, and with Kumud (in pre-cap)...Hope he hurts himself, or worse quite soon, else Saras is going to lose his new-found cool very soon, and all peace will be shattered with the cats out of several important bags...😉With Kusum and Sunny maybe on their way as well, next week may be a lot more action-packed than this week...Would also be nice to see Saras & Kumud in the same shot again...It was a relief to see the new BD mansion sets, though I have to say the interiors look nothing like the outside shot of the building!! Plus, unlike the family, the house looks better on the inside than from outside!!😉
The first forward step to healing thus will be when Kumud will stop having the need to look into the mirror. When she will cease craving identification and validation, elsewhere and will look to her own. When she will find a more than capable and the rightful contender who will reflect her back to herself with utmost fidelity... Saras' eyes. Right now, those eyes are beseeching her at every turn to seek herself in their non-judgemental pools, but Kumud is not at that stable, confident state.

"...As for Kumud telling Saras that she is just the same - one I think she was crying out for someone to assure her that she is the same girl, and wanting him to see that she hadn't changed, HE HAD, hence the navinchndra ji!
He can sense her loneliness, she has grown up in a family where she always spoke her mind, shared her feelings with her dad, ma, badi ma, kusum with whom she was very close. And now suddenly here, the equation with pramaad, her need to uphold her dignity with her in laws, seeing him day after day, agonized by his presence, and no one to share it with, awful for her isn't it! So probably coming to his room and picking up a fight with him was her way of communicating, he is the only one who can understand her and that's why he is so keen to get kusum to come over."

Hey Arshi... Loved all the discussions happening in past CB's... Especially the different interpretations brought out for Wed's epi with the confusion between "khoon" and "sindoor"... Brilliant bit of dissembling by CV's, I thought... It's like this lil' gem they've handed us, sharply defined in its cut, and no matter where you shine the light from, you're bound to get illumination. It's only the degree's that'll ultimately vary. So here's my bit regarding it:
For me, Wed's epi was a brilliant gem, albeit dressed up in rags and let down by overall execution to some level, hence the desired, anticipated & affective impact was not achieved. But like the previous "haqq and hadd" epi where everything came together tied neatly in the end (kinda like a Hgg bhai signature move), this episode too ably fitted some puzzle pieces together. Though not with the same flare of genius and competency because of body doubles, Saras-Kumud dynamic faltering at places and the discrepancy in background pieces. Therefore, for me, it required utter perserverance to look beyond all these irks and see what markers were being thrown at us with all the subtlety of a wisp of smoke... i.e. I close my eyes and yawn, I miss. Now, this may come across as extreme correlating but I strictly believe that between extremity and utter ignorance lies the perfect balance. You try and try... Kabhi toh milega. So please indulge 😳For me, the "khoon" and "sindoor" confusion was not something placed to only underscore that the Dhan's are going to be blind to Pramad's atrocities even when it is staring at them in the face, but also to suggest that Kumud herself is at times going to wilfully wish that the rivulet's flowing from her maang is actually a steady line depicting her marital maryaada. Right now she may be the one delineating limits but irony is that Kumud herself needs to operate within these very lines to survive. These limits she imposes are less for Saras and more for herself, but the cruelest joke fate is playing on is that the only "line" she could really be safe behind, is the very line that keeps on getting erased and being replaced. How to stay behind lines and within limits where none exist? That is Kumud's dilemma, and her fate... She is trying with all her might to hold on to what... Blood? It is only going to drench her and drag her down. She will never able to contain it, tho not for lack of trying. However, she can live by it and she can even die by it.Loved that bit in the Kumud-Kusum convo where Kusum's hand time and again keeps going to her "maang"... Intercut with Kumud's discomfort at being grilled about Pramad. It was like Kusum was unconsciously probing Kumud's wound. And K could feel it. Kusum's unblemished maang... Kumud's bruised one... In the larger fabric of SC, two "awakenings" are underway... One, as smrth Bhai shared, the awakening of Kusum by the CV's, and two, Saras' attempts to "awaken" Kumud. One prosaic and the other metaphorical. One welcomed and the other dreaded. But both to what end, is something to wonder about...Revisiting the mirror motif, everytime K looks into the mirror, she seeks identification with the girl she once used to be and she seeks validation for her choice (Pramad)... Before (Kul Devi night), that validation was clearly emblazoned. She had a threshold she could stay behind, a steady line delineating her place and position. A line "sacred" to her. Now... That line has been "desecrated" by a different hue. Before that, the line was wiped off altogether. The very "lifeline" she was counting on, has turned out so fickle. Intent on exchanging its hues with impunity. Where does that leave Kumud? Her resolve then, is to look in the mirror and still see that line where none exists. BD might be genuinely confused between "khoon" and "sindoor" but Kumud is the one who is going to be in utter denial, most of the times as to whether she is adorned in sindoor, or drenched in khoon. For her, with the truth of Pramad, with the re-appearance of Saras and with the expectations she has assumed, that crucial distinction has all but ceased. It does not really matter whether it is khoon or sindoor for her, as long as there is a line clearly telling her she has limits. And when she looks into the mirror, that "denial" will kick in again, and instead of "khoon" she will see "sindoor"... Because she needs to. She cannot function otherwise. Validation and Identification in the mirror are what keeps her going. This is where Saras comes in. He gave her sindoor. Just like he gave her that band-aid. It is but a temporary suture. Because no matter how many times Kumud fills her maang... All that remains are the vestiges. The essence and power of that line has been erased. By its supposed "custodian", and reason for being (Pramad), no less. Just like the wound... No matter how many band-aid's are plastered, the blood will flow unchecked. Her life-blood, transmutated into her life-bane. Erroding and corroding her soul, her self-esteem, and her worth, in her eyes, and in the eyes of others around her.The first forward step to healing thus will be when Kumud will stop having the need to look into the mirror. She needs to look into the mirror. And by that same token, she is the one who needs to decide that the mirror reflects her back to herself, no longer. As long as she has use for the mirror, she will see those blurred lines. She will will them. She will confuse them. She will continue to live by and bear strikes because of them... Because of lines that are not even there... It is all in the eye of the be-holder here. BD and MIL, see what they want/hope to see, Kumud sees what she needs to see. The difference is, that this is not what the mirror shows. "Self-denial's" such a wonderful and powerful thing. But ironically, the only thing needed to break that hold on her now, is to just see herself once reflected back in that lotus pool of her parents home. To see that like the night of engagement, the companion reflection has still not forsaken her side. But that pool is lost to her, perhaps forever... And for this mirror in her room, for better or for worse, Kumud ki har khwahish, sar ankhon par...
Kudos IVY ji👏...first time here I am seeing a closer analysis of her true internal fight that is blazed in the work (has been trying to share it hoarse for couple of weeks). Lines- indeed; real, sharp and cutting. It's cutting edges of her 'conscience' that has been cruelly, forcefully set on/against her own integrity that's bleeding her. Not Pramad's violence that Saras is so intent to stop at the moment. Remember, Saras is not wrong. The physical degradation is first step to a repair. It must stop. But real wound? How would he, or for that matter even Kumud herself, ever going to bridge the 'chasm'? As per book, it never was. But thanks, first time I am seeing here an analysis closer to the work. Otherwise most of the time, looking through our 'right', urbane, politically correct views- how she is 'incomprehensible', inconsistent, lost and not her 'real self' etc. Ironically, those 'observations' are right! But not the diagnosis!
