i guess kumud has shown his rt place in her life, now he will handle it his own way keeping kumud's maan marayada intact, just like a good friend!

You know Mandy, I love this new phase in Saras Kumud relationship, that is coming up. It also answers the questions of why is staying on? What if his actions bring about disrepute to Kumud?

Last night, by backing off at the right time, he put all these doubts to rest!

Smrth, at the beginning of this week had raised the issue of Saras' locus standi, unfortunately then due to my poor vocabulary, I hadn't understood it. But this whole week has been about clarifying just that - both to himself, and to us! So thanks to smrth, we could all see the week unravelling this question !

True, khan and like all journeys, no matter how well prepared we all are, it's a mystery, sometimes smooth at others rocky!

Agree with Saras backing off, It is much more serious than playing cat and mouse games.
Kumud clearly has sensed, Saras came back for her, hasn't she? She would be in pain to hear the story but would not forgive him for breaking the rishta. No point in bringing out his story now, let her pour out anger. She was on some talking terms y'day, today even accepted something from him.

I love it when writers come up with something to feed the masters here.
Loved various versions of interpretation of khoon and sindoor.

Not liking the other colors on her though. Ugly colors provided by BD family. Deliberate torture by ?creative designers.

Waiting to watch what other wonderful hues Saras will give her.

Why do I get a feeling, relegating the other characters and side tracks to oblivion, they a trying to wrap up the serial quicker?

@Bold... I agree with that! 😊 Was in the dark about last night's sindoor symbolism in words and gestures till I got enlightened by "the masters"!

@Blue, torture is what they are doing, really...

@red, I hope not...I need my fix every night!...😳

...but our Saras has no rights ...he cannot say anything to kamina pramad...he has no right to touch her ...cannot even set his foot in her room...omg...me shana dead without saras kumud romance oxygen🤢

...when will saras again touch her kamariya...me waiting...hope cvs surprise us soon with a dhamaka :)...his hands can very well reach her kamariya ... if any of ur lipton di chaah happens

Control Shana, but even in the pink horror, her nazuk kamaria was very nicely seen!

I think ab uska naam Navinchandra Vishwamitra rakh dena chahiya, menaka Kalika to haar gayi, aur menaka Kumud bhav nahi deti!

Kahin menaka Kusum toh nahi aayegi is ki tapasya Bhang karne?

Haila!

I hope not, Adinai, there's still a long way to go, and lots more to happen so fingers crossed on that!

Ya, that I hadn't realized, she talked to him, and took sindoor from her, in some way clarified her reason for her slience, so progress there too.

And thanks for pointing out another BIG significance of the sindoor - he gave her the color red - so the safed odhni has recd one color.

Happychappy, the pink saree - mental emotional physical torture - three nights in a row? Whose creation is that? I need to personally meet that designer and express my feelings in a very physical way!!!

Alas we see the benefits of being a (former) sanyaasi. The self reflection Saras is doing is phenomenal... We can see it shine through is persona internally and externally.
Again, I really have to say WOW to the characterization of Saras. To show you the extent of my awe, I would like to tell you that one of my absolute favourite films is "the Godfather" because of the excellent portrayal of the many inner and outer dimensions of Michael Corleone. The self reflection, the rigorous inner change and it's manifestation physically through his actions, his words were so relatable... so apt to reality.

And since I've watched "the Godfather" the first time around, I've never been fully satisfied with any characterization of any protagonist... until Saraswatichandra came around, of course. The fascination of watching Saras is equivalent to Michael Corleone for me. Just the message that comes across with Saras; the strong will, rationality, and tenderness attached to the storm of emotions that is he are so brilliant to watch! His characterization really does go through each and every fibre of Saras' being... and I still don't know how Gautam manages to live Saras so well. 👏

For me, today's episode was just another part of "The Hero's Journey." Saraswatichandra is doing his own deep reflection... going through his "inner cave" as Joseph Campbell describes in his study describing the "Hero with a Million Faces" and he's coming out of it triumphant: a rational, all-knowing man. Today was another episode that highlighted why this show is about the male lead, and I've been left with a very satisfactory taste. Well done CVs for such banging portrayal, well done Gautam Rode for breathing Saras, and well done Arshi for topping off my cake of delight with such a garnishing post! 😳

superb veera! Clap do add this analysis/analogy in the birthday thread somewhere. Godfather is GR's fav movie, he will appreacite it well..
it is a surprise how GR manages to breath saras so effortlessly and still have that masti and fun going offline..

Somehow I feel the whole Saras Alak convo was just a way to share his thoughts with us, and will not have any other fallout.

Just like the press conference.

Arshi, after having mis-read practically the entire episode on first viewing, I had to watch again..😉

Couple of points I liked this time around...

# When Kumud is talking to Kusum on the phone, she has this band-aid on her forehead, and her phone has band-aid all over it (remember Pramad had a go at it??!!) Love that attention to detail, ...

(and also realise therefore that pink-red horror can never be a mistake, they actually want her to wear it, and us to see it 😕)

# The Alak-Saras convo - most of the lines were about his jazbaatein, but right at the end Alak tells him to use soch-samajh instead... and sure enough he starts trying to help Kumud in a jazbaati fashion by forcing her to reveal "the truth", then realises his mistake and switches to soch-samajh, and compromise.

# As you said somewhere, Saras giving the sindoor to Kumud could have many interpretations, most likely being to say that he will help her to try save her marriage (the selfless Saras!), but ... what caught my attention was the moment when he goes into her room and picks up the sindoor box, he has a moment of pause where he reflects (past, broken dreams and promises?) and has a wry sort of smile? on his face, no self-pity, totally under-played (perfect Gautam Rode style). I think that was the best bit of the day for me!

The sindoor giving probably does symbolize him helping her keep her marriage alive...But isnt it ironical that Pramad seems to be bent on erasing it and Saras wants her maang to remain filled...It for me symbolized that he will ensure that her maang will always be filled...a throwback to the kora-white-dupatta which he will color and drape on her head someday...

It to me was also a reminder that they did have a gandharva vivah after all...her current marital state is just an aberration, a road bump on their journey to falling even deeper in love.
