@ all
Read all the posts in a cooler frame of mind, so many great points brought out, loved each one !
Let me also step back and re look
The episode
1. Great execution
2. Well written lines of the apology script - very cleverly done
3. Started out in BDs voice for the public , then Saras's voice took over, then it was just about them - bas ek main hoon... Bas ek tum ho... She knew he had written it, so she got the message, it was his voice that she heard, but as Kaadal pointed out, when he says apology, she hears betrayal.
4. As smrth pointed out, a lot learnt about BD family today, Alak tries to fulfill her fathers expectations and make up for his disappointment with his son. Some parallel with Kumud there - to be the son for her father! So did she get married to Inkesh? Another mismatch by BD? Or a convenient SIL who will be too spineless to take Alak away from her fathers hold?
5. Kumud is trying to put up the facade of a "normal" life to maintain her dignity, she is not ready to breakdown and go down on her knees in front of her new family - thanks twila
6. Jen looked awful today - beautiful color of the saree, but that jewelery esp the necklace - I am going to put it down to artistic genius and wanting to show a gale ka patta ( dog leash) and not awful taste of the dress designer - yeh kahan aa gaye hum - from Guman's tastefully elegant sarees to Kumud's garish trousseau - esp the blouses - tacky!
The actors
Gauti and Jen - great again - 10/10
Sai Ballal as BD, Vijay Dadlani as Inkesh - great job, both of you portrayed your roles very well - of the arrogant and the nincompoop - 8/10
Vahbiz - too expressionless IMO, in her Indira Gandhi like persona, she appears wooden - 6/10
And Aanshul - you play the despicable pramaad to near perfection - 10/10
Emotional impact - very high - 10/10
Episode rating - 9/10
Now put yourself in Kumudsundari's shoes
Think of how heavily her father's expectations must have weighed her down
Think of how callously the man she loved has let her down - a phone call on the eve of the wedding day
Think of how cold bloodedly her father in law chose her to be the dog trainer/ prison guard and chained her for life
Think of how cruelly her husband informed her that she is just a cheez - an unwanted piece of baggage
And you will understand my rage at her helpless situation at the hands of the men in her life
They were all guided by their self interests - VCs izzat, Saras's ego ( to show his father he can stand on his own) BDs ambitions for his son Pramaad's rebellion - and are as hotdogg pointed out, going on with their lives as they were
Her whole life has been ruined and she is holding up as well as she can - her only motive- love - love for her father and Saraswatichandra
Aaj ka gaana - aaj bas rona, no gaana!
But to explain Kumud's sthiti - some quotes from my pehla pyaar
1. Love can reduce anyone to anything

2. Aap ki iss ek galti ne raaton raat hamari zindagi badal di... Isliye hamare Jo man kiya woh hum karenge, rone ko dil kiya to royenge, aap pe chillane ka man kiya to chillayenge, aur app humain rok nahi sakte!
