this seemed liked a breather epi while also introducing the new characters...

Initial impressions:
- the FIL & SIL are practical and against Pramad's lifestlye / behaviour / attitude.
- SIL is more capable than Pramad and 'heir' to FIL's political legacy.
- Potential allies of Kumud

- the MIL is indulgent and overly protective of the son
- does MIL knows about the 'close' relationship of Pramad with the lady / maid who got introduced? I mean we could see it, why can't she?.
- MIL could potentially be against kumud since she supports Pramad so blindly.
In the book a maid instigates Pramad against Kumud over her past with Saras. Is this the one?
- Pramad has a bad attitude and a huge chip on his shoulder - maybe never measured up to his father's expectations / resentful of the dominant sister.

The key is the SIL...FIL listens to her...he is still the chief of the household...wonder if she will take Kumud's side eventually?

- Everyone at the in-laws knows Pramad's character - but still decided to marry him off to Kumud in the hope he will mature. That's a big dhokha...but you could say that is nullified by Kumud's past history and they obliging to marry kumud & pramad at short notice and when her marriage with another person was broken.

Samud:
- Kumud is still coming to terms with the new situation and the post - saras break-up telecon.
- Looks like she will initially make efforts to make this marriage work and take shit in the bargain...hope she doesn't totally lose her identity
- Mr Ehsaas is alive and kicking...wonder if they will meet up tomorrow? ... looks unlikely...CVs will want to extend the 'will they - wont they' for some time...in the novel too they don't meet till 3 months after kumud goes to her in-laws place..

hope CV's make Kumud's interaction, relevant to this day rather than projecting her as another bechari abala bahu.. she can very well participate in politics.. A good career for Kumud.

yes, the SIL will be the key, she is the king maker and so seems to have her fathers ear.

Mother while looks very loving, seems to be protective of pramaad, so probably she might turn against kumud, and her ignoring Kanika was an example of the blind eye

Is VC not concerned at all about missing Saras - what about Sunny? No call to Saras, finding his phone missing, to Kumud, failing that to Desai landline?
