This will rate among one of the better episodes till now...

1) No back and forth scenes between Dubai & RN...personally I found that experiment in the previous epis very disconcerting...you cannot have back & forth for pivotal scenes...yesterday's one smooth continuous scene allowed you as a viewer to sink into the environment created and really experience / absorb the emotions, point of views, dilemmas resulting in an impact which kept on building..

2) superlative acting both by gautam, chetan & monica and ably supported by the writing and direction...

3) no hysterics and the right amount of tension / shouting..

4) really great acting by gautam who expressed shock, pain, anguish, confusion, anger, hatred, revulsion, pride, love, pity, grief all in a seamless way - effortessly moving from one expression to the other basis the script.

5) also liked that in the tension due to the letter, the point that gumaan had changed the merger date was mentioned but allowed to pass since saras had other things to discuss...loved monica's expression of shock at being caught out...very nice touch...maybe at a later stage LN will realize it was Gumaan who did this all along and may be the cause of him disowning her..

(smrth mentions that in the novel after saras leaves both LN & Danny disown Gumaan)

6) really great acting by chetan who brought out the businessman avatar for whom amassing wealth and personal pride / reputation is the overriding drive superceding all other emotions / feelings...he is still a good man with genuine feelings of goodness and love for family...but his core drive is what has made him the rich man he is and defines him more.

This explains the duality of how he can be a loving family man we have seen...but who also walked out of ratnagiri, refused to marry DB, married a more 'modern' guman, built a fortune and was an absentee dad for saras.

Maybe this also explains his estrangement with saraswati...she may have been a good woman, but was probably a Ratnagiri village girl and who could not match step with LN's ambitions or scale-up to his dreams...

Would love to see this track taken further a sa back story as to what was the reason for LN's estrangement...but looks unlikely, since saraswati is already deified now...they cannot show her as anyone less than the epitome of womanhood / motherhood who was wronged by LN (more like it was a one-way rather than a two-way street)...so full credit to chetan to get into the depth of LN and bring out this duality in great effect.

7) Monica...liked her acting too...right amount of interventions...liked the crisp onl-liners she added with the right amount of expressions to get the fight going and taking it to its logical end..

8) Which brings us to the next step...it looks like saras is renouncing his family...but still has not renounced Kumud...on the contrary he appears to not mind renouncing the world as long as he has her by his side.

If true, this will be a wonderful adaptation from the novel in which saras renounced everything and everyone..lock stock & barrel...

In which case, his marriage not happening will be due to events conspiring against him:
- the umesh / saras rai angle perhaps
- LN calling off the wedding egged on by Gumaan & VC confused whose side to take - his best friend or his daughter..This is a great dilemma which any father should not get...what will he decide?..Will he falter?
- If VC decides to go with LN / LN breaks off the wedding, how will kumud resolve her dilemma - side with her father or her lover?

My feeling is that duty / honor will be the reason for both being forced to make a choice they will regret in tons later...

There are news the parallel lead whom kumud will marry is coming up in the show...

Ray of hope is that if saras never renounced kumud, then we may still harbor the hope of them uniting in the end...love mein the end nahin hua tha, sirf interval tha types...

Unless, SLB wants to make this into a HDDCS (some reports say that too...that saras will make this guy a better man), in which case saras - kusum track will also happen...

Kusum is already dropping open hints now...I want someone from dubai etc. etc.

So we are literally on the pivot now...which way the story will go is known only to SLB & God!

All we can do is chew our nails and wait!

I am happy with the turn the story has taken

For once the breakaway was done convincingly

The sequence of events mapped out beautifully

LN slightly intoxicated, and his ego wounded,

His mind poisoned,

Obviously said the worst possible things

Saras, already in a rage over the letter

Losing his mind

That's what I called a story well told

Logical sequence of events that built up to the explosion!

I just loved it for the way it was handled.

Yes anki_KJSG, an episode where I cried, yet felt so happy and so satisfied!

Cried for Saras, wanted to kill Guman,

After Saras read the letter she saw him, smiled and was plotted the next move.

Not even a moment of remorse of what he was going through

She deserves to suffer, I hated her the most in that moment

And so happy as you said at the way the show moved

At the great direction, good scripting

And the great scene between LN AND Saras

Yes, I am upset too, I wanted a horrid hateful pramad, but I like Rahil, I saw him in Gulal and he is very good.

I hope he plays the bad guy!

Yes, Saras has not renounced Kumud,

Infact LNs challenge to Saras that Kumud and family will denounce him without Vyas name - I hope this is what causes LN VC rift, because this is bigger than anything

I would love Desais to accept Saras and denounce LN, but probably, we will not see that now

I think Umesh will now keep Saras away, and family suspecting that history is about repeat, old fears will resurface, and ...

Loads of tension ahead, high potential in this track

Can't stay away now, once again the opportunity to detox lost

We are hooked, with no escape, and no desire to escape!

I don't want to see HDDCS, I want to hate Pramad, I want a horrible Pramad.

Why did they chose Rahil? I like him!

But fate is reserving a more poignant break for the lovers. Somehow they will manage to hurt each other in the course of event. May they rebound unshackled.

The Picture was indeed complete. She put it down on paper too. But unfortunately her 'idol' is left exposed to be stolen- by fate and a pernicious father. What a pity!

Copy pasting reaction to today's episode from D/C.

This is what one call the EPISODE!

And take a Bow. Gautam Rode...You rocked the screen, today, literally. Am waiting Some one's detailed post on him today.

And Chetan Pandit too! Amazing voice modulation. As well, correctly subdued Monica Bedi. Here credit must go to Director- to ask her underplay...perfect.

Now the Slap...generally dislike this hyperbolic action in script...but Gautam's reactions made it worthwhile today.

As for Gumaan's 'proxy' slap: Ma'm Conceit ( her actual name) be not smug and feathered. For retribution is already on way to claim you dearly; and in form of double the premium- two slaps by fate; Your husband and real son both are going to disown you soon. Now I understand Danny's presence in the script.

I haven't able to allow myself to think of Samud separation yet, I know that's to happen, but I can't see it , not yet

All I have been thinking of is Saras and his curse- the people he loves het hurt

That is true, and will again come true, for Kumud too, will evil Guman once again remind him of this and he will blame himself for loving Kumud and ruining her life?

But more than that I am consumed with anger against LN - the real reason for all this

His pride, ambition, avarice, ego - at the center of all that has happened

He single handedly has caused events to unfold the way they did, and also caused relationships to be what they are

Saraswatis suicide, Dugba's miserable existence, Saras's melancholy nature and inability to love earlier and pain today - all caused by this mans greed !

While I know lives run their course shaped by multiple factors, and so no single factor can ever be pinpointed, in every instance the trigger has been LN LN and only LN!

Once again well done CVs!

The story for me was always the true hero, I wanted that to lead me on, whatever happens to Saras and Kumud is fine by me, it's the sanctity and purity of the tale and the narration that I am infatuated to.

I want to love, hate, argue, debate, discuss and have a love affair with the saga, and through itlove the characters, loving Saras and Kumud irrespective of the story doesn't work for me

Saras and Kumud can be together, or not, can get married or not, have PMS or not, hug or not, kiss or not

The story has to make me want one or the other !

I am loving it smrth, your dots pulled me back, and thank you for that!
