This will rate among one of the better episodes till now...

1) No back and forth scenes between Dubai & RN...personally I found that experiment in the previous epis very disconcerting...you cannot have back & forth for pivotal scenes...yesterday's one smooth continuous scene allowed you as a viewer to sink into the environment created and really experience / absorb the emotions, point of views, dilemmas resulting in an impact which kept on building..


5) also liked that in the tension due to the letter, the point that gumaan had changed the merger date was mentioned but allowed to pass since saras had other things to discuss...loved monica's expression of shock at being caught out...very nice touch...maybe at a later stage LN will realize it was Gumaan who did this all along and may be the cause of him disowning her..

(smrth mentions that in the novel after saras leaves both LN & Danny disown Gumaan)


This explains the duality of how he can be a loving family man we have seen...but who also walked out of ratnagiri, refused to marry DB, married a more 'modern' guman, built a fortune and was an absentee dad for saras.

Maybe this also explains his estrangement with saraswati...she may have been a good woman, but was probably a Ratnagiri village girl and who could not match step with LN's ambitions or scale-up to his dreams...

Would love to see this track taken further a sa back story as to what was the reason for LN's estrangement...but looks unlikely, since saraswati is already deified now...they cannot show her as anyone less than the epitome of womanhood / motherhood who was wronged by LN (more like it was a one-way rather than a two-way street)...so full credit to chetan to get into the depth of LN and bring out this duality in great effect.

what an episode arshi! my eyes were glued on to each and every scene and dialogue..outstanding!..could not have asked for more, gautam, monica and chetan pandit deserve a big round of applause👏..bang on expressions! bang on acting! loved the episode today😊

Arshi, yesterday ws really something else! I am in awe of Gautam's acting. CP and MB were good, too but our man had so much more to do and he did a superlative job! GR ki jai ho!

@ red- agree completely. In the past, thoughtless editing, unnecessary fusing of differing scenes was so jarring...it took away much charm sometimes. Why do they ( edit dept.) not understand this simple logic. Only spacial scenes allow this...like ongoing marriage and PMS, and even there they overdid it somehow.

@ green: clarification; Danny aka Dhan Nandan never came in actual writing in novel. as well, LN does not disown her in the book per se. Only this, he completely turns his back to her. Her reign over. And prepares to write his entire estate in name of disappeared SC leaving Dhan's share under his guardianship. My conjecture is in context of present serial, which may or may not happen.

First of hey! This is my very first times reading ur posts, nd I must say they are extremely interesting yet different!

I was searching for your post, don't know how I missed it. A wonderful episode yesterday bang on intense one. Direction, writing everything perfect. Loved the intense confrontation between father and son. Gauti nailed it. I am glad finally Saras is aware of Guman's true colours. And looks like we have our Pramad as well soon. I like Rahil's acting so SLB better make him so bad that I have to dislike him.

And Chetan Pandit too! Amazing voice modulation. As well, correctly subdued Monica Bedi. Here credit must go to Director- to ask her underplay...perfect.

Now the Slap...generally dislike this hyperbolic action in script...but Gautam's reactions made it worthwhile today.

As for Gumaan's 'proxy' slap: Ma'm Conceit ( her actual name) be not smug and feathered. For retribution is already on way to claim you dearly; and in form of double the premium- two slaps by fate; Your husband and real son both are going to disown you soon. Now I understand Danny's presence in the script.

It looks like he ws made specially by God for this role, whatever else he does later on... Amazing.😃

Interestingly in one of the other threads about Pramad actor Azam, someone mentions that they cannot imagine GR doing a negative role because he looks like an intrinsically good guy, whereas they can imagine Azam as the bad guy. That is some food for thought...

p.s. Perhaps you shd move to Ratna Nagari, the Malgudi of immaculate network connectivity!😆
