Though u asked Arshi, let me share a POV...

Perhaps, Symbolically they were exchanging fitting mementoes.i mean, they were exchanging symbols which remind one of the other. So Kumud gave him 'her' essence ( exactly his word in request)- that is colourful and full of life. While

Saras gave her 'himself'- which, in essence, was bland, austere but pure as white.

Now I agree, the dialogue they put on Kumud was misleading- it was she who put colours in his austere life. But there is a distant explanation- by saying,'you put colours in my life' would she mean, ' You awaken love in me- a consort love- which brought another kind of colours to my life."? Again, this remains a far fetched explanation. Wish her dialogue would have been more defined...as doubted. On symbolism, they are not much far off, IMO.

Then there were again intended hints for the future...So may be they have to take some risk on the 'dialogue' part.

@ Hug, Yes, it was a miss. Viewer expected to almost happen it before camera zoomed on the parting hands😕...may we expect a short return- like almost 'no adieu' in the Haweli- that did happen in Karkhana?!😊

for d Ring thng Tony u Should check Akila's post in parts of India/world ppl wear it right or left hand it doesn't come always in left hand.. North,South indians wear it in right hand even m maharashtrian so some ppl among us wear it in right n some left... So its nt big deal..

If they intended to put a hug in they would have but I generally do get that 'complete yet unfulfilled' feel from their love. That could have been their last meeting for a long time and that was left incomplete too because there was no hug to 'complete' the scene.

Muqamal Mohabbat ki adhoori dastaan...

P.S. I don't cry when lovers get separated. It's not necessary to cry to be touched by a scene.

Oh regarding the colours. He's actually taken all the colours from her now and given her the 'white' cloth. Kumud is going to be a lost, miserable girl soon but Saras will colour that odhni eventually.

My POV

He came insecure, but is now confident and sure ofcoming back. His decision to leave hence his confidence

For her, a shock and so sudden insecurity. He is goingaway and she suddenly cannot imagine being without him

Life seems colorless and bleak.

It is an expression of what they are feeling now. That it is opposite ofwhat they were is an interesting contrast

Rest of it - hug an omission maybe, ring , balig kumari bloopers.

But what they are feeling, their positions at meeting vs at parting- beautiful and open to interpretation.

We all relate to feelings differently, so if kumud now is insecure and hollow, then thats whatshe is

oye toni how r u? was about to sleep and saw ur comment, i think u all who expected a hug should tweet the writer to put such scenes when necessary..i have thrown all my expectations out of the window, and just enjoying the beautiful dialogues and depth of the scenes!

I agree with your views, if I consider them as a married couple already. I am wondering is there an attempt on Cv's side to brush PMS episode under the carpet..

Crybaby wife is a misery to any man. Why Kumud has become a believer in going around the tree now, why is she fearful of saasuma's threats now? There is.no excitement of wedding at all.
