I also am sure whether this LN Guman affair was going on when his wife was alive, or if this happened later. I think later otherwise Saras and VC would not have so tolerant of Guman

I don't know Arshi. I thought they hinted at LN having an extra-marital affair with Guman in some episode last week. That may have been the reason Saraswati took such a drastic step. That's just it, there are so many questions unanswered. I wrote in my post that day if Saras gets wind of his dad having cheated on his mom which in turn may have possibly caused her to take her own life, his newly strengthening bond with LN will go to naught. Neither would he be so passive with Guman.

How long after Saraswati's demise did LN marry Guman? Brings us back to when and how did he meet her?

@ Hotdogg, I guess any publicity is good publicity. I was afraid of the opposite. The large number of viewers disappointed with the PMS scene may stop watching SC!

I am glad that everyone in the forum is happy ... patience is the key, I have been saying this.. I won't deny that the PMS scene was bit of a let down because we all wanted to see SaMud romance but just giving up on the show because couple of episodes didn't turn out the way we wanted is not right...that's strictly my opinion..

Anyway, I am happy the PMS track turned out exactly the way we all wanted.. Have yet to see the full episode, but of whatever I saw , made me so proud of Saras.. the dialogue, ''sirf haq nahi, zimmedari bhi hai '' must have been so reassuring for Guniyal to hear from her future son in law.. Kumud is now at peace with herself.. her mother stood by her , her husband protected her honor .. her momentary lapse of will power, changed nothing between the mother daughter equation.. She trusts her more than ever, for genuinely regretting and for having the guts to owe up to her wrong doing.. Only a very secure child, who has been brought up with a great deal of love, trust and good moral values can have the courage to go to his/her parent and admit that he/she has faltered even if unintentionally.. I have yet to hear the altercation between Gun and Guman but the one dialogue I read in some post where Gun says, '' man behlane aur samarpan karne mein farak hota hai '' kinda gives an idea.. Gun is not like Dukhba .. Even when showing Guman her place, she still maintains her dignity.. I can totally imagine Dukhba saying '' jee behlana tum jesi aurton ka kaam hota hai, hamare yahan aurte sif samarpan karti hain'' Gun meant exactly the same without taking names..lol

I noticed they are using the term ''samarpan'' way too often.. First Guniyal and then Kumud.. One aspect of their relationship will be that I guess.. Kumud apologizing to Saras- 👏 Kumud initiating the hug👍🏼 Saras pleasantly shocked and embracing her Clearly erases all the awkwardness post PMS.. good job cv's !!!

True Vaishali, we do react on a short fuse!

CVs of a daily soap have a tougher job as compared to film makers, everyday is a Friday for them and they get judged for every epi, every day!

So I guess we should be more trusting of them . The TRP track was well handled today, neatly closed

Great dialogues, good conversation, and great epi after a few days!

I wish we all had your positivity and patience.

Even our mythological stories were not about virgin Gods. There was a lot intended there too. Sex can be another expression of love.

Anyway, really nice episode. Guniyal has acted like dark horse in the recent episodes. She is how a mother should be!! Seriously hats off.

Saras and Kumud have no regrets. They are in love, they came together as one and that's how it is. No-one should be ashamed of anything.

Yes, the whole PMS was not to get TRPS by showing romance, it was to take their relationship forward and make it even stronger.

And through this they emphasized another vital aspect of love - trust and respect and that sex is not dirty or to be ashamed of! So really rishta naya , soch nayi

And Gun of late has been true to her name - Gunsundari! Loved the way her character is shaping up

I don't remember that part, I remember he ditched Dugba due to Guman and I agree with you, if Saras comes to know of his dad's extramarital affair with Guman, it will put strain on their relationship , so maybe it happened after saraswatis death! Or it could be used to drive the wedge, lets see

But LN Dugba chemistry is better than LN Guman chemistry

I am sure you would be very happy today! Guniyal is being shown to be the kind of character you talked about. I remember you wanted Gun to match the Guniyal of the original - mature, sensitive and the pillar of support for the Desais family.

This Gun is all that you had talked about.

Feeling an odd man out...despite good scenes, too conscious a script for him? He is still prioritising his hurt? Where is the 'consideration'? Perhaps tomm or other day...but on second thought, isn't this a natural 'husband'? Primacy of his views and his hurts...
About Saras- Guniyal scene; so it did come about...but insertion of Guman altered the whole dynamics! Instead of a supplicating assurance, Guman enabled him to register an assertive assurance...ok, good for him. ( a confession, i have not visualised it so)...GUniyal actually applauding, instead of a restrained concern was bit away from the consistency, I feel...I would far better see him ( and not Guman) receive the letter. Read the content ( such a beautiful explanation by her/ Cvs), realised her bind and goes to Guniyal to reassure...ok they went about in other way. But why is the letter not confiscated by the rightful recipient?...
only one theme ran consistent; Husaband and wife in no uncertain term, recognised so by mother too.😆

@Arshi and everyone - My apologies if I sounded like I am patronizing.. Being able to critique is as much of a virtue as is being positive.. :) and CB wouldn't be half its worth if we had one sided discussions.. I just wanted to say that we should have a bit more faith on the creative team.. I think they know what they are doing ''most of the time'' lol This whole PMS track was a bold experiment , but well thought of ..not a TRP stunt and not a panic reaction at all... The focus was on what led to the act and the aftermath of it..(repeating myself ).. Who would have imagined a PMS track to bring to highlight the stark difference in the parenting abilities of Gun/ Vidya versus Dukhba's.. Loved the way Arshi pointed it out in her original post..It also tells us how difficult it is sometimes for a single parent to bring up their child.. Its hard for them to fulfill the role of both, isnt it? Kumari, who never really opened up to her mother, must have missed her father so much, everytime she saw her uncle showering so much love and affection on his daughters.. that maybe a reason for her desperation..

Likewise, this track has added so much respect and trust in SaMud's relationship... Kumud will view him with double the respect she had for him, after what he did.. the open proposal won her heart but what he did today, must have made her feel so secure.. he can not only love her..he can also protect her.. something every girl wants of her man..the hug symbolized that more than anything..

@ bold- I don't think its prioritization.. he doesnt view them as two different individuals now..literally.. everything from happiness, anger, hurt is now associated.. like two souls bonded.. In that scenario, I can't imagine him differentiating between her hurt and his hurt.. Recall his line '' tumne hi kaha tha, jahan pyar hai vaha vishwas hai.. agar vishwas tha tau apne dil pe itna bojh kyun lia.? '' that means he was aware of the burden she had on her chest.. if there is anything that was different , then it was their perspective.. like it was when they talked about jealousy and love.. He understood her perspective then, even though he felt jealous.. She understood his perspective now, even though she felt guilty...

Nandy, even I felt LN had extra marital affairs and that was the reason for Saras mom to commit suicide. I even feel he might have told Saraswathi about marrying Guman,a strong reason is needed for taking her life when her son was around. Not sure now if they will be able to use that a reason in between the father-son as Saras seems to be have accepted his mom's going away and made complete peace with his dad.
You know even I was thinking this PMS might push off more viewers but if the opposite is happening it is good.

Brilliant perspective about parenting from you:

Dear vaishali: well said
Quote:

There is anything that was different , then it was their perspective.. like it was when they talked about jealousy and love.. He understood her perspective then, even though he felt jealous.. She understoof his perspective now, even though she felt guilty... Quote

Vaishaliji, But I do feel, the current flow of the story is 'damage control mode' rather than well thought preplan.

SLB might have well laid preconcept of the story, including PMS.
Writers built up scenarios.
Dialogue writer is just brilliant, while adding up depth to it.

The shoots are happening upto the day of episode, the said episode presentation was messed up.. Evident by false precaps through the last week. The presentation of show is moving back to the previous style after disastrous experimentation, probably feedback was gauged over the weekend by cv's.

STARPLUS website still has the gist of the story as ' Kumud eventually gets married to someone else' . Will be very interesting now to see how that happens.

Forgot to tell seeing the precap I had always thought one day it would happen this way same as the cry wolf :) And the last ending shot of today's episode was quite nice, Kumud shyly turning away and Saras standing behind looking at her.
