Yes I agree.. I won't lie..I was very disappointed to see him replace Yatin Karyekar but he has eased into the character so well.. For one, he actually looks like Dukhba's real brother..he looks good opposite Guniyal which is also important and he matches up to LN in screen presence.. Yatin's face is very expressive but this man is able to convey despite of being subtle.. his dialogue delivery is also good.. I am waiting to see his scenes with Kumud.. that is something Yatin and Jennifer did amazingly-the father daughter scenes..

This is important. VC- Guniyal is one powerful story, and one happy thread that sparkled even within the main frame story...all round, wholesome growth of their marriage was one ideal that Kumud aspired for about her own...alas, not to be.
But yes, Jen- VC will be touch stone...
Bet'n, 'blame share' on Kumud over separation is afoot. After union she will have to 'contribute' to unfold it, I feel.

At times you watch the serial, listen to the dialogues, understand them, feel them... But it was a bliss to read them too, through your post all over again! Understanding their meaning in similar yet new form! Lovely post. Looking forward to more!

What I felt the best part of his proposal was the subtlety and that he front-ended the whole proposal by always emphasising that he loved her and then quickly sought her parents permission...
the subtext was that of course she loved him too...and for both of them to start to love each other after the official break-up, they would have had exchanges, meetings etc...which would have happened in private...behind everyones back ...and oh la la!!...what did happen then?
by emphasising the way he did, he gave so much grace to the process and especially to kumud and her parents...really cool treatment...imagine if he had even uttered she loves me too in a public forum...the thought process decscribed above would have been the logical way the crowd would have thought...kumud would have appeared to have gone behind her parents back, 'gold digger' excuse for gumaan, parents would have been emberrased since all this was done by kumud behind their back etc. etc.
really nice scene... perfectly aligned with the story background / context and the characters..

Wow how beautifully you have written ! You have made this scene even beautiful with your amazing post . 😃 I just loved the confession scene & as I have told before I think SC has the best dialogues I have ever seen in a hindi soap. And both of them were looking so good in the scene😳

Yes Hgg,
The way he describes a better change for himself, " we never knew when she made me meet myself, over and above the foggy shadows of the past that enveloped me..." " and I want to start and complete in her" were two highest paeans a lover can muster. In these, along with the elation he seams an innate respect for her which was somewhat missing in his confused denial of a love that he strongly felt for quite sometime. In such open avowal, unambiguously sourcing it on his improved state, he seeks to pre-liquidate Gumaan's foul assertions. Whether she let his attempt prevail is another matter.

A beautiful post for a beautiful episode Vaishali, your words truly do justice to the proposal.

Here we could actually see the excellence in writing that was more than matched by excellent portrayal by gauti, whose expressions were awzum

And loved reading your description, chaar chand laga diye scene main!
