Arshicritic,Yes, Pygmallion is an example of shuffled ending in many adaptions. And this, above the orginal's not so 'inconsistent' ending. Shaw did have some valid points in keeping them apart; as a Creator and Creation they may have some 'parental' innuendo. Add, there is no whammy of self effacement or succumbed forfeit to other relationship for one who has refused originally... Here, SC - Kumud might be ascribed a reverse 'Pygmalion' effect. But actual resurgence has always been effect of their mutual Love. So Kumud is not exactly Queen Pygmalion. And that double whammy!More on SC later, as this addiction is now encroaching earning hours!😆

I just wanted to point out an example of an ending changed just for the Box Office, even though the original was acceptable!
