Fantabulous post Skepblun 😊
This show has connected so well with the viewers that we start caring so.much for the characters,smile when the feel happy,shed a tear(I do) when they are sad...Some may feel that I am exaggerating,but i feel that SC is the best thing that has happened to Indian television in a long,long time !!!

great analysis👏

I completely loved the episode...every single dialogue in this scene is so meaningful!!! I was in "a complete awe" when Gun advised Kumud that this must be a lesson for her to not hide anything from the person she loves...I was like WOW!!! for the first time in so many years, her husband is so angry with her, his trust on her has been dismantled, yet she isn't crying rather giving such meaningful advise to her daughter...kudos to her👏..I love how females in SC aren't shown as the typical ones but the strong and sensible ones...

and another amazing point...loved what you said...them showing how after a point parents become childlike and it is their children's responsibility to treat them well was just endearing!!!
and all the points you made are very very true too!!!
SC is an amazing show and it never is a show for viewers who can't see and feel the underlying emotions because it has so many emotions!!! so much depths!!

and I must comment on this one too...like most of the shows do not show the vulnerable sides of the male characters because they are "mard" and "macho" and crying or acting vulnerable doesn't suit them but that's not true at all...Males are also humans...most of them have as vulnerable sides as females have and I love how they have depicted it through VC..hats off to the whole cast and crew👏

nice analysis
loved the way u have written in detail about the male characters of the show.
one reason i like sc too much i the way saras and kumud's character have been written...loved the calm and patient saras who would never hurt the female character and treats her with respect and what to say about kumud...she is a firecracker...i luv her aggressiveness, ego and anger but yet at the same time she isn't too egoistic to not been able to differentiate b/w right and wrong.
the subtle romance is cherry on the cake.

@MS-meghasharma

Thank you! I love Kumud's character and have written about her in past. I love how she is confident, aggressive, has her values intact but is bold, sensitive and caring yet a pillar of strength and a total fireball if sitation requires so!

And I just love the contrast between Saras and Kumud's personalities! That's what makes the show so endearing.

I am also happy to see how Kumud is not just her father's darling but he also consults her in matters of hisaab kitaab of his business and family expenses. She is no less than a son to her parents. She's working at the school and is wel versed with homely skills too. An absolute all rounder - no wonder as an ideal woman she got an ideal man who fell for her.

But both of them have their own small weaknesses and vulnerabilities that make them innocent, relatable and endearing.

Kumud is a refreshing change among all female leads as of now. One of the rare bold, solid female characters onscreen!

@mandygill and @Rish

Thanks dear!

@veera25

Thank you very much! I am honored by your reply!

Yes truly this show is soulful and the characters are incredibly human. And the silent yet deeply communicative moments that its makers create between characters makes it all the more awesome! Kudos to the entire team really and I wish they keep up this high standard always!

@Vaishali-AR

Thanks a lot!! I am glad you liked it.

I agree with you on VC. The man is hurt as a male but still keeps doing what he is required to do as a father figure, BIL, husband and householder - even if reluctantly. I was happy to see him take the sari from Saras and give it to Guniyal even though he was too angry and hurt to even talk to these people. It was very realistic and relatable as you rightly said.
I feel relieved that even the SaMud romance scenes in this episode were not hackneyed stuff we see as usual.

You nailed it when you wrote - "this show has subtle feelings which are very much palpable" - couldn't have said it better!

Thank YOU for reading the post, offering such a sweet response and adding your own beautiful thoughts to it!

@annie2212 and Catz

Thanks a lot! Yes Annie! This show has maintained realy good balance in portrayal of male and female characters! And males are not just standing there as wallflowers or philandering like there is no tomorrow or only creating troubles for women like other shows on Indian telly!

ALSO, thanks to everyone else who liked the post and patiently read it. Thanks for your response and patience guys! Cheers! 😊

@SANJU_

Thank you very very much for your reply and compliments! I am also happy to see you respond to certain specific points in the post and add your own POV to them! Thanks! 😊

I agree with you! I was also in "complete awe" mode in the scene where Guniyal uses that situation to advise Kumud! In any other serial the mother would have been crying, moping or blaming either herself or her daughter but in SC the wise woman uses even her trouble to teach a lesson of a lifetime to her child! She is an ideal adult and has no qualms in admitting her mistake and telling her kid to learn from that mistake of hers! Otherwise elders have a certain ego and do not admit their faults in front of their kids. It was brilliant!

Guniyal has wonderfully portrayed the tightrope a woman walks on as a mother and a wife. She loves both her husband and kids and wants to protect both. But the balance is never easy to maintain! SC brought it out beautifully!

SC indeed has a lot of depth and underlying emotions as you rightly said. And this particular episode was really meaningful from every aspect!

Yes! I love how SC shows males in their humane avatar unlike the unidimensional portrayal in other serials and even films and literature. They have their own pressures too and it is never easy for them either.

Indeed congratulations to the whole cast and crew of SC for the awesome work they've done! Good luck to them! Kep up the quality!
