This show has always been very high on emotional tensions, specially when it comes to SaMud. Since the time they've known of each other's existence, Saras and Kumud have had this attraction-repulsion between them. They intrigue each other in a way which no one else has before and at the same time, their stubbornness leads to a clash of equally strong yet opposing individuals.
Having spent time together over the past few weeks, they have unknowingly been imprinted by the other person more than they would like to admit even to themselves. But the heart listens to neither and does it's own thing. In an emotionally volatile moment, they became a bit too intimate for their own comfort today. That 'snap' which Kumud, and subsequently Saras, felt when they realised how far they had come into giving in to each other is quite an 'Ouch' moment if we look from the characters' perspective. They lost themselves for those few seconds as their minds completely blanked out letting their hearts take over.
Later of course, they feel guilty for almost crossing the socially acceptable lines specially since a lot of faith had been placed in both of them by Kumud's family. We see them regretting as they introspected about what would've happened had reality not dawned upon them. Emotionally, they have become very vulnerable towards each other. They have no control over the path their hearts have taken, but their practical side knows better. As all those tender moments of last week came back to them, they realised that they were just living a fantasy far from the truth of the conventional status of their relationship.
This has been the best episode of Saraswatichandra till date, IMO. The show is moving out of it's building stage with the real story starting. It was never about SaMud's blossoming mushy-mushy love story. It was always about the impending and inevitable separation of these star-crossed soulmates. With Guman playing her cards as well here on, we can expect some highly intense sequences portraying the complexities of the human heart.
