The reason why I wanted SaMud to have some happy time together wasn't so that I could fangirl over them (though that came as a bonus). It was because I wanted them to have something to hold on to when they aren't there with each other, something for us to hold on to when we see our favourite couple painfully separated.
When they are apart, I want them to remember making pots together, teasing each other, the cute arguments arising because of their headstrong nature. How they went on from hating each other's guts to learning to care so deeply for each other. For Saras to remember the peace he felt knowing he had Kumud by his side for support. For Kumud to remember the shyness she felt when Saras looked at her adoringly. More than anything, I want them to remember what it was like to be with the person they love with every fiber of their existence.
These tender moments we saw between them in the past week are their future memories, a future they both secretly want but are too scared to even hope for. The memories of this small but beautiful phase of their lives they spent together will be the ray of light which will help them through the darkness they will be so rudely pushed into..
