Okay guys, I know Saras rejected her writing merely a letter. You can be angry with the person you rejected you but can you blame a person for stating his will? He was not bound to marry her logically. In normal procedure too one can deny even after seeing the girl or same goes with girls and here toh saras wrote letter and stated his reasons and all. Just tell me if someone come to see you or either say no without seeing you mentioning his reasons, will you pick a fight with that person? Seriously tell me honestly. I don't think so. This is practicle world and everyone have a right to make choices. Agreed, her dreams were shattered but did she took a moment to ponder that it were her dreams not his? then how can she blame him. And when he came to India, rather than talking to him maturely she was busy hiding her face from him. What was it? inviting a person and then refuge speaking or even showing up?
It was childish. I know you won't agree with me but guys take a moment to think. Saras was acting logically. He tried to talk but what she did? She didn't allow him to speak to her. Remember the scene when she rubbed salve on his hand. She intensionally hurt him. I haven't seen someone behaving with even enemies like this, when hurt and Saras Kumud were certainly not enemies. They merely met each other. Would you do such with any person? I can't, no matter how angry I am. I am not saying she is wrong or something but what I am trying to say is she is way too impulsive and ego possessed. She rather than thinking on subjects, acts on it and then broods over it. When the thing is done you can't reverse it.
When saras got angry rather then trying to apologize she got angry when he didn't listen to her. She was saying he was selfish as it takes a lot to forgive someone but was she herself able to do it when Saras came to her? No. She must have thought over it before lecturing him about forgivness. How can she say this to Saras when she herself can't forgive him in first place.
Its clearly my opinion. I don't hate or dislike her. Its just that I feel that her negetive factors can sometimes certainly overshadow her positive qualities.

@Smokey-First let me give you a Hi5! Me a huge Ian fan! :D

I totally get what you are saying. The important thing that you are missing is that Kumud has fallen in love with him. His rejection has not only caused her a bruised ego but it has also shattered her dreams. When someone says no to you even without thinking its alright for us because we have not formed any sorts of attachment with the alliance. Here the case is different, Kumud dreamt about those eyes even before the proposal came and then she sees those same eyes of the person she has been asked to marry. Lets just rewind for a bit. Kumud was pretty adamant that she doesnt want to get married to saras, then she sees his picture and thinks of it as if it was meant to be. Lets be honest, it's a bit freakish that your dream is actually true. She seems to formed a connection with him even before this alliance was even mentioned. She had dreams and hopes, she wanted to share the pain that she saw in those eyes and those came crashing down when Saras' letter arrived.

I will not argue about how she hasn't been able to forgive him because Saras said the same thing to her, why couldn't you see the regret in my eyes for sending you that letter?
All they both need is to shut up and listen for what the other has to say. They need to sit down and talk.

Oh and I forgot, the guy actually asked is this how much pain I've caused you? And she goes and rubs that salve some more to make sure that he gets the point and the amount of pain is too much. That can't even begin to imagine how much hurt he has caused her. And also, people like you and me will definitely not behave so with a person we just met but this couple is different. They have this special bond, remember Kumud's dialogue "aisa kya hai jo hum samete nahi paa rahe?" "Why do we keep hurting each other?" I am afraid that will be answered once they actually get over the hurt they both have caused each other.

I do understand that KUMUD was hurt badly as she fell in love! But that still does not justify her behaviour!!! Especially after the whole pond incident! She once again called him selfish! I'd say she does not know how to judge a personality! He jumped in the fire to save her father!!! If that's not selfless then what is!?

Hey I am right there with you... I completely agree that she has used some very harsh words... and once these words are spoken you cannot really take it back... She called him names for which I have no arguments because that was totally uncalled for. I was the first in line to complain about her attitude. I certainly have no tolerance for judgments. How can one make assumptions when you have no clue about the person? I hate that too. But I also know where its coming from. And now even Saras understands that the reason for her behavior was not only her ego but her feelings too.

I am new here guys - but I have been watching this show.
Re: Kumud's behavior ITA ego and pride are definitely involved here.
May I add there is also a pathetic amount of immaturity and complete self absorption. It is always me, mine and myself for Kumud. Some how I view her attempts to bring progress in her village also as part of a self-grandioseness. Granted she does appear to care for her family - but I do not see any genuine care or compassion in her - extending a helping hand to her family is just to put down Saras.
Kumud has to grow up a lot emotionally and mentally.
Her sister Kusum appears to be more well grounded then her.
