here point is not prediction here it is all about being in love

kumud knew she had instigated saras and so he would sure come...but now poor thing is not sure enough if saras really loves her and will come back or may be her fregile heart does not want to be happy enough ...so much like saras who is afraid to bring any happiness and relationship in his life

Looks like Kusum knows both of them well... ofcourse one being the sister, she would know what her heart actually wants...

i see it more as Kumud doesn't want to get her hopes up...for her saras has no reason to come back...he came to reject the proposal to her parents, she relieved him of the responsibility and told him she will handle it alone...she has not seen saras torn up by his feelings for her, saras himself is not convinced he has feelings for her coz sunny's words seemed to surprise him...its kumud's way of protecting herself...
