A balanced analysis, in midst of a reverse frenzy. Amazed at the anger over some valid spurn...not that she wanted him drawn! She knew him a good swimmer, saving a life, only previous day. She does not know the tragic connection of the past.

Adding to your analysis,

How should a girl react to a man who has and is still stating to her the nullification of their engagement and STILL, he is flirting with her?! Does a fact that he had saved her father, gives him a license? Another 'fact', that they are falling for each other, does not alter the current reality- proposed cancellation...so why should she tolerate contrary Advances? 😕

very valid points👏...he still is in his reject mode, still is flirting with her...how was/is she even to react?!

Totallyyy agreee wid u...she's 1 of the most pampered kid n such a pretty gal for sure she'll b arrogant n just becoz she has no dark past lyk saras have that doesn't mean she can't b arrogant n shud b those daily soaps mahadevi types meeks...she's traditional but has a modern outlook...she hurted him unknowingly 😲

Let me try to put across my view points -

I don't think the issue here is whether it is acceptable for a guy to act egoistically but not a girl. And I don't think those who sympathise with Saras are blaming Kumud because she is headstrong and speaks her mind. Those are qualities every girl should have and I applaud Kumud for not being a meek doormat type character. What makes me sympathise more with Saras than with Kumud is the fact that Saras is being treated very harshly for a small mistake of his. His mistake was not that he rejected her - that is anybody's prerogative. His mistake was in sending her a letter rejecting her instead of speaking to her father directly and thus putting Kumud in a spot. And I think he has made up for this mistake...he came down, tried to speak to her father and convey his intentions (but could not do so unfortunately till now), has been very respectful with the family. All this shows that he did not intend to insult her or her family.

Now seeing from Kumud's POV -

Saras rejected Kumud without seeing her face and this hurt her because she had already accepted him and even started thinking that they were destined to be together (the dream). So I fully understand why Kumud felt angry and challenged him. I am also fully with her when she said she will not show her face to a person who is not going to have any relationship with her.

What I do not understand is why she thinks he is selfish, not trustworthy etc...I mean what actions of Saras prompts her to say that? A person has the right to accept or reject a proposal that does not make him/her selfish or untrustworthy. But I can understand she is saying all that from spite...thats fine too. After all a girl has her ego and if it is hurt, a girl has the right to retaliate 😊

She was further riled when Saras challenged her that he WILL see her face before sunset. And because she lost the bet, she was miffed and hence the lake scene and the taunts. And in all this, she unknowingly commits a very serious mistake...till now it was all a harmless challenge but the lake incident turned the whole thing into a serious issue.

So Kumud, with her flaws - her ego, her temper and tantrums - has been made to realize that she went a bit too far this time. Although I do not blame her, I think it is time now that she acted a little mature and look beyond the tip of her nose. If she does not realize that Saras needs support now, then I think I will be a little less impressed by her character.

I have been rambling quite a lot...let me stop for now 😊
