yah casue he thinks that his father is guilty,well we can not blame anyone...she did it,she had her reasons...hope he at least get someone to share his heart out,that also with his Kumud :)

My mom was on the verge of committing suicide..i was very young then..barely 10 yrs..i still vividly remeber that scene..but the true meaning of it hit me years later..i had stopped my mom..who was tying dupatta to the fan and standing on the bed..she had thought no one was at home..the door was unlocked and I had come from school early..seeing me there..my mom stopped...
Years later my mom told me that my face had stopped her from doing it...she loved me too much and seeing me there shook her up...
And can you guess the reason why she attempted it?It was because my dad was having an affair.
.My mom is highly educated..but I will never know why she would do that for someone who broke her trust instead of making him suffer...
The irony is my parents still live together...
But my dad did lose his respect in my eyes...

I agree with you. No wife can never tolerate this. No wonder Saras and his mother suffered so much in life. Both of them never got the love from a husband or a father.

GOD! offcourse she had a very good reason to suicide! but which irresponsible parent does it in front of their kid! and please many women go through husbands having affairs! not everyone commits suicide!

I seriously think and hope that there's more to it because committing suicide because of your husband's affair is a fickle reason even for women in the 1900s. From what I've seen Saras's mother has more to her than just that.
