When Saras walked down the stairs, his feet leading him towards the source of that sweet voice,
Was it just me or was there a tiny speck of husbandly pride on his face?
She sang so sweetly, she sang with the full purity of her heart,
Kumud, like him, believes in that miraculous power of prayers!
To feel his heart open to hers,
To stand beside her and feel them both connect through that devotion, the Puja,
In another place, at another time,
Not very long from now,
He could picture them both lead a life together,
whether standing beside her, and admiring how she led the Aarti,
or standing in front of her, as she guided him as she grasped his hands from just behind,
or standing perfectly positioned just behind her, so he could protect and tease and teasingly taunt and secretly smile at her cute antics,
and perhaps one day,
even fall in love with her!
