Saras was chatting open heartedly with Sunny when Kumud entered into the hall way, searching for him. She stopped at a corner not wanting to disturb them but expecting a chance to talk to Saras. Sensing what Kumud was feeling, Sunny gestured to Saras so that he too could know she was standing there.

Saras saw Kumud the minute she stepped into the hall; she looked even more beautiful in the light pink and white sari. It was the first time he saw her in a sari and he smirked at the thought of how his would be mother-in-law would have persuaded Kumud to wear a sari for this special occasion. He was lost in her completely, she looked breath taking. He felt emotions would overcome him and he walked up to her almost touching her hand and looked at her with the eyes that told her how much he love her. He was not going to hold back tonight, tonight is for them, just them, but he had to take care of the surprise first.

With the thought of the surprise waiting ahead for her, Saras turned and moved away from Kumud, despite knowing the urge in her eyes. He saw the pleading in her eyes to go to a place where they are alone, and he knew that he could not hold back his emotions if he waits there even for a second, so it was better for him to be on the safe side. Sunny shook his head to prove his innocence to Kumud as she stared at him in anger when Saras left.

Kumud turned around and ran upstairs, stormed into her room, weeping as Saras did not say a word to her when she wore the sari for the first time. She expected him to compliment her as usual, but he seemed like that he didn't even notice the difference in her dressing style. She is going to change her dress, right at the moment, she thought. She walked to the dresser, opened it and took a matching choli and a ghagra and kept them on the bed. Before she could pull down the pallu of her sari, she heard someone clapping just behind her. Shocked, Kumud turned and saw Guman staring at her furiously. 'What are you doing here?' Kumud asked her. 'That's what I need to ask you, Miss Kumud', Guman answered angrily. 'Do you think that no one will come to know what you are doing?' she added furthermore, walking to the cupboard and took out a jewellery box from it. 'Everyone should know what you have done' Guman said in a firm tone, grabbed Kumud by hand and almost dragged her downstairs into the hall.

'What is wrong, Guman?' Laxminandan asked as soon as he saw Guman. 'Do you want me to tell them or you tell them?' Guman said, gnashing her teeth in anger. 'What happened?' Vidya Chatur moved forward and asked, looking at his daughter who was in tears. 'Kumud has stolen my jewellery' Guman screamed upon seeing Vidya Chatur. 'No, I didn't do anything' Kumud muttered through her tears. She kept on her gaze fixed on to the floor, feeling the number of eyes staring at her from there.

'Stop it mom' Saras yelled at the top his voice, approaching towards them, furious at Guman for ruining the beautiful surprise he arranged for Kumud. He stopped right in front of kumud and said, 'Kumud will never even dream of such a thing even in her worst dreams. I don't believe this'. Upon hearing his words Kumud lifted her gaze and looked straight into his eyes. There is so much in his eyes that she has never seen before, the courage and determination had not been there before. 'Wah, Saras Wah! So much for such an ordinary girl?' Guman said, clapping her hands as she walked in between Saras and Kumud. 'I said enough, mom' Saras said, still trying to control his anger and not to disrespect his step mother in front of the gathered crowd. 'She is not just an ordinary girl for me' Saras did not know how the words escaped his mouth, but he continued 'She is special to me, because I love her'.

He finally answered her questions. She knew them, she had read his eyes before as well, but she wanted to hear from him saying those words to her. Spellbound, she got shocked as he kneeled down, outstretching his hand proposed her, 'will you marry me, Kumud?' Kumud looked shy to him, as she nodded her head slowly, and she put her one hand out to get hold of his outstretched hand. 'Bolo, Kumud, kya tum mujhse shaadi karoge?' Saras repeated again, wanting to hear her say a yes to him in words. 'Haan!' It was so soft that only he could hear a yes escaping from her mouth as she freed her hand and ran away, blushed, leaving Vidya Chatur and Laxminandan in an embrace of happiness that would last forever.

Kumud had almost reached the kitchen door when she saw Sejal coming in her wedding suit, all ready to sit in the mandap, with three Kumari and Kusum assisting her. Kumud stopped seeing Sejal, and walked behind her slowly, her eyes searching for Saras, who was following her movements with his gaze. She tried to pry her eyes away, but they were drawn to Saras like a moth to a flame, and she knew that she will get burned up in the desire there, but she could not help walking towards him.

Saras stepped back from the boisterous crowd he stood, wanting to flee Kumud away from there so that they could be alone. He saw her heading towards the awning at the back of the hall, which is being lightened dimly as no one would bother to go there. He was quicker than she expected when he caught on her wrist, while she tried to reach there first. He shook his head and raised his eye brows flirtatiously at her, while he stared deep into her eyes and told her what he was going to do with her, with his eyes. He then closed the gap between them by pulling her into him, and kissed her with a held back passion as he could not resist her luscious lips inviting him. As the kiss grew deeper, he tweaked her lip and bit it, not wanting to lose his control. Kumud opened her eyes wide, and she pushed him away with pain and surprise. He stepped back with a let go off her and looked at the mark he has put there. It was a mark that he put there as an evidence of her as his, only his. 'Now you will remember me every time you speak, or open your mouth' he murmured huskily.
