Oh puh-lease. KumundSundari as mysterious/enigmatic and strong?

The girl is definitely arrogant and petty. Just because a guy rejected her, she's all, "I'm not going to show my face!" Chehre pe kya laddoo lagge hue hain? Why doesn't she understand that a lot of people reject arranged marriage proposals without even seeing the prospective spouse? Saras already shared the reason why he didn't want to marry (which was clearly not because of her!) and yet she's taking so much offense. It's so obvious that she's taking great stock in her looks (from her constant dialogues on her face) and provocative dressing. 😳

Isn't that the whole point of being arrogant and egoistic? You don't necessarily see everything how others do, you see how it you WANT to because your ego is that big. She was offended by the rejection especially because she had honestly started to feel there could be something there. Whether the rejection was personal or not, she has taken it personally. That is the issue here! Kumud has got offended and she feels insulted.

Well you agree or not, fact is she is mystery for Saras. Had that not been the case, why couldn't he simply go to his father and say he does not want to marry the girl? Afterall Kumud had given him two options, one was to tell his father and the second was to come to Ratnagiri. If not mystery why is so curious to know how she looks? From stalking her facebook profile, to flying all the way from Dubai to her place..you think thats just for rejecting the proposal? She has every right to act pricey but he doesnt necessarily have to fall for it..People do reject marriage proposals but not when the same family is asking for the girl to come on video conference. How is she supposed to know that father son are not on good talking terms..At the end of the day he is going against his father's wish so in that case why let the girls family go through the torture..why not tell his father the same thing? Thats the reason she called him ''darpok'' In that letter too he downright rejected the proposal that his father had sent in the first place without giving any strong reason. Same day dear daddy asks the girl to talk to his son on video conference. Whats that supposed to mean? Any normal girl would have flipped and this is Kumud we are talking about..who already has a lot of ego and pride to begin with and who had accepted him as her destiny.

There are some parts I will definitely agree with you. It's not just Kumund, even Saras has his failings that I'm not liking either. I find him very cowardly too. IMO, he definitely should have told his father before anything that he was not going to accept the proposal. If Saras can go against his father in business matters then why not this thing too? The writers also made him too contradictory...he seeks Kumund out and feels disturbed by her words when clearly he has no reason to is beyond me. However, I tried to ignore these earlier missteps and tried to follow the story along. With that I accepted that Kumund is furious and won't show her face. But then this Friday's episode, as per the logic of the situation, Kumund should have been solely concerned for her father, thanked Saras for saving him, and let it be for the time being. Instead, the writers made her appear arrogant and petty at such a time. That's the sort of issue I'm having.

The writer should characterize the leads a bit better so that viewers can understand their feelings too. But as a viewer, I find it tough to relate to both Saras and Kumund's pains when I can't understand why they would do the things they did earlier.

I know and totally agree with you there. But my intent was that arrogance/pettiness does not equal to enigmatic and strong as some have stated. A character can be strong-willed without being arrogant. At some points I did find Kumund strong-willed, particularly when she set the challenge for cowardly Saras to visit her father when she clearly thought he wouldn't. But in today's episode, I just found her very petty.

That is an issue and a really sad one..There is a thin line between pride and ego and at the moment Kumud has crossed it..She is wrong in not thanking Saras for saving her father and I am not defending her actions ..Just trying to see where it is coming from.. Don't worry her mother is going to knock sense into her in the Monday episode

I agree...today she wanted to forget her anger and thank him but again her ego and arrogance came in between...like Vaish said, she is all the way more frustrated that her "sapno ko rajkumar" turned out to be exactly like what she had thought, but again her ego doesn't want her to accept thisbut I am glad her mom is gonna bring her back to the earth!!
