Her arrogance, her ego...

The girl has a lot of it. She is overridden with pride so much so that despite Saras saving the person she loves most in the world, it still wasn't quite enough for her to express her gratitude. Reminds me of Dev's classic words to Paro 'Itna garoor toh chand ko bhi nahin hai'. Of course in the precap she gives in after a wake-up call from her mother but that ego of hers is on another level. Will it harm her in the future? Maybe...Maybe. As someone else mentioned, we have seen intense angry heroes but not such a passionate and arrogant female protagonist. We can't even call it a young girls childishness because her emotions are not petty, instead they run very deep.

She feels so insulted that a man rejected her without seeing her that she vows never to show her face to him. Kumud is THAT adamant. How can anyone dump her? So instead she tries to get the upper hand and keeps making Saras more guilty but at the same time more curious. See how he's chasing her? She's become a sort of puzzle for Saras, a kind of enigma who he can't quite figure out. She said to yes to him just by seeing his eyes...but why? How is she so hurt that she cannot drop that 'ghamand' to show her face? Kumud isn't just a physical secret to Saras but her entire persona has a mystery to it.

And I hope it remains that way. Her passion and arrogance should never reduce!

I was tired of watching the same old sweet girl arrogant guy drama. Every time, every freaking time the arrogant guy ends up getting the sweet, bubbly girl. Every time the hyper, non-stop talker ends up in a silent, jerk's arms!

These characteristics in Kumud are so real! She is fun, and bubbly. When she is by her father, she shows her sweet side. The side anybody can fall in love with! But the arrogance, ego and stubbornness in her is what Chandra would have to go through before he can see the other side.

For some, this might be a turn of, but for me, it's just more appealing.

And again, TV Shows needed some male focused show! Where the boy is sweeter than the girl. (Let's just overlook Chandra's anger for a moment. He did come to Ratnagiri on her demand because he was guilty and frustrated!)

That is it Reema.. Too much ego and pride to handle rejection from the guy she lost her heart to.. She is now more frustated by the fact that he is turning out exactly like her ''sapnon ka Rajkumar'' she saw his face and fell in love instantly..his is being loved and praised by her father..he is the ''perfect guy'' like Kumari keeps saying but he cant not be hers. She at this point thinks the feelings are all one sided..no clue what she has done to Saras..that is what is making her act more angry and adamant.. She rubs the haldi paste on his bruises in the morning yet finds herself sitting by his bedside fanning him in the night... her feelings are frustating her..which is why she keeps asking her mother '' did he talk to father yet?'' that question has a fear hidden of the impending disaster.. I agree she is such a mystery for Saras..no wonder he has gone all bonkers lol..wonder if he has done any meditation eversince he came to Ratnagiri😆

Plus arrogant guys are hawt 😛 It makes phangurls go all hyper. Time for some change I think...!

Kumud I feel is real yet dreamy. She truly is a character out of a classic novel, as is Saras. This stubborn side wasn't there in the book or movie as far as I know so its definitely a classic SLB touch. We all enjoy ego fights but their ego has a different beauty to it.

Why don't you ever make topics Vaish? You have a beautiful way of expressing your views :)

Isn't it a nice welcome change to see the girl besotted with the guys physical looks? It's natural right? We all get physically attracted to the opposite sex right? It may turn in to love, it may not. You rightly pointed out how Kumud questioning her mother actually has a hidden fear 'Has he really told him?'. Of course she doesn't want Saras to say no so she eggs him on even more to tell her Dad.

LMAO I think meditation may calm Saras at the moment. Surely there's more lakes in Ratnagri than there is in Dubai 😛
