Gautam and Rani Mukerjee! Sanjay's involvement!

I finally had a chance to watch the SC premiere and oh dear does Gautam look good with Rani or what. I really hope the cine directors see what I am seeing. Those two would make a beautiful movie pair. Rani was in a red sari looking gorgeous and Gautam Pretty-Face Rode was in a black jodhpur-like prince coat. They have adequate age difference too, so the fact that Rani is technically a film senior wouldn't matter. Gautam is showing serious potential for films - but I hope if it happens, he won't dare abandon SC like other soap actor. The penultimate of all Indian film makers is making a show with you, you just don't leave that. I think he's sensible enough to see that. But seriously hope he and Rani get a movie together.

Another thing struck me after seeing this premiere. I am concerned about the extent of Sanjay's involvement with the day to day production of this show. He seems to have a really hands off approach to the show. I thought he would more involved at first. This would explain the soap like bloopers that people have been seeing. It is very atypical of Sanjay not to notice. If he really did just lend his name and is only taking the executive decisions, I really hope he gets more involved. Because this show needs him. The other CVs have done good to far but Sanjay needs to make it great.

Reader thoughts on these two points are most welcome.

You mean the bollywood actress rani mukerjee? I don't think they would make a good pair, she looks much older than him

To be honest I had the same feeling regarding Sanjays involvement in the show...I get the feeling he's only given his name to the show as in the 'Sanjay Leela Bhansali' banner, but other than that the show will be handled entirely by his creative team and he'll probably be informed about any executive decisions that are required of him from time to time...I'm really hoping that isn't the case, because if he's lending his name the show has to live up to the name too

I have a feeling SLB does have quite a big involvement in the show. I really feel he watches every episode before it airs to review it, I mean he put his name to it so he is going to make sure that the show is up o his standards, because if it doesn't do well everyone will be blaming him.

Regarding Rani- Gautham Jodi may look good, although Rani may look bit older to Chikna Gautham,

havent given a thought about it, have not watched world Premiere too, but do you think Rani Maharani Yash Raj Bahu will agree to work with Gautham ? 😕

May be for both of them to match there should be a suitable script too.

As far as Bhasalis involvement is concerned he better be supervising the SC overall . He may have brilliant Creative team and back ups, but still his involvement and Creative input is necessary atleast in the initial stages till the verdict/ TRP is out and SC finds a strong foothold in the top slot and sort of safe. Once he make sure the current Creative team/ Directors/ actors can handle, then he may slightly wean off but still his involvement/ supervision is necessary.

If the Creative team handles well and if SC becomes topper or atleast hit serial, and as far as channel gets thier share of revenues/ mint money , the question of Bhansali involvement would not matter much.

The problem starts and channel starts to bite back Bhansali when they dont get the desired TRPs/ revenues.

Personally I loved the 1st week of SC. Hope TRP Maathaaa showers her Leela on Bhansali too.

Ok I haven't watched the premier but Rani and gauti Ummm... I don't think so. Rani looks waaay too old for anyone now.

I watched today's epi and to my surprise I liked it. I'm warming up to this new pair.

Gautam and Rani Mukherjee??? I don't know... Gautam looks younger than his age and Rani though very pretty looks aged now..my pov :)

Regarding SLB's involvement, he is not directing the show but he is very much involved in the making. Gautam said in the press conference that he reviews the scripts so the material they get to perform is of high standard. He comes to the shoots too occassionally , for instance he was present during the shoot of Jenny's intro scene. I know for a a fact that he will not lend his name to a sub-standard product or something he doesn't approve of, afterall one of the USP's of the show is the name SLB associated with it. 😊
