I just watched today's episode. I don't understand Kumud at all.. maybe she is not supposed to be bubbly.. 'coz she seems to be serious all the time! SC and Kumud seem to be such a wrong match in that case.. neither of them talk and both of them are serious!

Anyways.. Jenny on the other hand, is a good actress.. her expressions are good.. but her voice is terrible. The way she said the dialogues were a huge disappointment today! The dialogues were excellent, but her voice didn't bring out the anger.. I didn't feel it at all. But then again you can't expect everyone to be excellent.. But I think she is definitely better than GR I think. I hope both of them improve as they learn their characters!

Their characters are just so confusing, I don't get it at all. Maybe they should have spent a little more time revealing the characters.. than moving the story at lightning speed!

M not happy with the leading lady ... I saw her first in kasuati zindagi ki at 2003... Now it's 2013 . She looks lilbit oldy woman... There is no glow in her face & no sweetness in her voice tone ... Dress style is yuck... She's looking 35 plus ... Doesn't match with the lead hero.. He is fantastic ... It's not only my opinion ... All female members of my family doesn't accept her as main lead actress...
Still there is chance to change this girl... Kusum is so cute & natural...

I find the casting perfect...no complains !..Wen Sanjay hd put his money on this cast ..then its quiet obvious he's seen sumthin' in them & ... regarding Jenny ...since TM hs sp mentioned her ...well I think SLB wudn't cast anybody else other than her. Coz frm watev'r I read in the articles ..she hd turned down the shw due to sum clauses in the contract & the luk ws on fr a new face. Bt luks like he found no one suitable ...so she ws brought bck .. & I guess mst b with her terms & conditions . So wen SLB cud go through so mch trouble jst to cast her as Kumud ...then its obvious he doesn't see anybody else as Kumud . Tht explains everything.

Jennifer is only 27 & GR is 35 ...huge age difference ...dn't see y sum find her lukin' older than him ...may b its coz she's portraying a mature character. No where its mentioned Kumud hs to b this innocent .. bubbly girl !...Actually its the mindset of the Indian viewers ...the lead actress always hs to b this bubbly ..innocent ...& stuff like tht . This stereotype regarding the female lead is kinda getting irritating nw. M' glad Kumud hs cum out sumthin; different. & Jenny is doin' full justice to this role. She is this strong headed .. confident,, mature & intelligent girl ...instead of this abla nari thing. Jst watchin' the shw fr her . And my opinion is SLB made the rghjt choice in choosing her. No body's better suited as Kumud than Jennifer.

Kusum part i owuld agree.. besides monica bedi .. kumud's sis kusum and father .. they are somewhat fine since day 1 .. but forget JW .. the 'dadi' got me in fits todya .. bahut kaam karna hai director saab ko is serial mein

I personally LOVE Jennifer in a role of Kumud, I think she fits in elegantly.

Mind you, I'm not saying this because I'm a Jennifer Winget fan, in fact I've never watched any of the shows she acted in but I loved the concept of Saraswatichandra and was amazed at the level of creativity and the depth of this show thus I started watching.

And now, I'm pretty amazed at how good the actors fit into their characters when in fact they are probably poles apart different in real life.😆

I think a lot of us aren't used to watching a lead who isn't OTT bubbly or whatever. And I don't think SLB even wants to show Kumud as bubby, more like mature and a light in people's lives, not necessarily bubbly.But, hey that's just my interpretation.😳

What I suggest to the people who don't want Jennifer as the lead to maybe give her another chance or quit watching because I don't think SLB will change his female lead based upon some few people. 👍🏼

And the whole Sanaya concept, first up she is GORGEOUS. But I don't think she can give Kumud the matureness that the character needs which I feel Jennifer is giving to the character!😉

I would any day prefer see her in a modern, mature role that would suit her persona more. She dsn't come across as traditional and bholi to me at all. Since this post is on casting I say no to JW in this role (for now) & I don't see why directors (in Indian soaps) try to fit an actor into a particular mold instead of choosing a cast that suits the character. SLB is not a daily soap director which is why my casting expectations from him were much higher.

& having said that I would not have made this post 2 months into the show as the tone would be set by then. This post comes now because the start of a show seems like the right time to discuss casting as opposed to when the show is past its initial week or two.

That is because her character isn't bholi, do u think everyone from the village is simple and ghareloo? No, there are so many confident and educated girls in the villages and kumud is an example of one of them.

Matureness? Oh maturity, I get it! What shows of Sanaya have you watched, Piggies?

Did you see the maturity she showed as Khushi when she stood up to the ruthless ASR? Did you see the maturity with which she handled the sorrow of Khushi when ASR broke Khushi's heart? Did you see her as Gunjan in MJHT (I have not watched that show, but have read people praise her act as someone serious, er.. Mature, perhaps?)?

I to think Sanaya just wouldn't have looked mature enough to pull kumud off. I think Sanaya is a good actress but she just would not have made a good kumud for me, I don't think she would have looked good with gautam either
