I really like her costume and dresses and I think she looks fabulous in them and carries herself elegantly. I don't really think wearing a backless top or showing some of her midriff makes a girl look cheap.

Dear CVs,

The constumes of Kumud are very cheap and vulgar looking. Please work on it. You can take the dress man from Balika Vadhu. Becoz this epic love story doesnt project the main leads in such cheap looking constumes.
Her hair stylist is good but dress designer needs an immediate renewal.

Yep very true .
Kumud costume is a disaster in the serial .It looks very old .They have to provide the lead with a better dressing style. Hope to see her soon better . I

I quite like it...its simple and basic which is what she's all about...why make her wear crazy colorful clothing when she's a simple village girl...i do think they could make the dupatta less sheer - we don't need to see her navel ALL the time, but the blouse is fine.
Oh gosh no, please no suggestions from BV (very gaudy looking)...I'd suggest costumes from Gulaal - perfect gujarati attire, very modern and stylishly done

I also love Guman's saris, they're really nice...

I agree about the navel part but it was visible only in today's episode because of the dupatta color as you said but other costumes have been really pleasing so far!!

and @TM: no, I don't think Kumud needs a costume change,,,I love how she is dressed so simply and has such light make-up...she wears bright colors, a bindi and just kajal...and I love that👍🏼

Oh come on!! She's covered from head to toe -__- Can't village girls look 'sexy'? Or do they have to look behenji type? Bit unfair isn't it. City girls can wear skirts and mini dresses but a village girl can't wear a backless blouse. In most saris you can see the girls navel anyway

This is Kumud's distinct look. Why should SLB get inspired from other shows? 😕 He has his own vision...

after all it's 2013..

I respect opinions of all, but everyone should know one simple thing here, Whenever we are working on work related to epics and classics, the costumes should be also fit in the framework correctly. whether it is 2013 or 2030.
Otherwise it looks very unworthy watch. We have seen Jennifer in more revealing cloths in DMG and other reality shows, its really beautiful, this doesnt mean she should be put into such kind of dresses which doesnt suite her role in the first place in this story line.

I just gave example of BV. May be they are loud and bright agreed. But i gave example of such serial becoz the BV constume designers have kept their work in their storyline. The story comes from Rajasthan .Jaitsar, And the colors of Jaipur, Udaypur, Rajasthan, are vibrant, beautiful in a sense it fits the work they are doing for that place. So does this storyline should also follow.
I hope you got my POV.
