This text on Govardhan Ram Tripathi is very well written ( though Im late in commenting here ). I agree SLB has a tough job to modify this story of Saraswatichandra to modern day . Govardhan Ram, through his book wanted to bring change in the conservative Gujarati society . But as a reformer, he could not bring forth the issue of widow remarriage i.e. Kumud's remarriage to Saras in his book . At that time too critics chided GT as for not getting Kumud remarried to Saras .
I hope, now Sanjay Leela Bhansali should bring the change what GT could not do ... marry Kumud to Saras through his serial.

if SLB does that then I think that in his true sense will be like an ode to GT cos perhaps in that era you couldn't possibly expect society to accept a widow getting remarried but for SLB to do this would also be an eye opener for many orthodox people out there.
I think GT would be proud to see that his two lovers finally met! An ending he must have imagined himself. How can one not!!
