Omi > Which role do you prefer – " Shashank" in Kusum or " Rosesh" in Sarabhai v/s Sarabhai ?
Rajesh Kumar > Definitely, " Rosesh" in Sarabhai vs. Sarabhai because he has his own individuality and " Shashank" was only known as Kusum's brother.

Paparazzi > Hello Rajesh, aren't you eyeing Bollywood?
Rajesh Kumar > Yes, I am. But waiting for the right role to knock at my door.

Tom > Why did you disappear from Kusum ?
Rajesh Kumar > There was nothing to do in that particular role and (it) didn't excite me (anymore).

Tanya > What is your dream role?
Rajesh Kumar > Kamal Hasan's role in Pushpak .

Surabhi > Now that you are acting in serials, do you want to get back to theatre?
Rajesh Kumar > I am doing theatre. It's a play called, Hey No Sorry No Thanks with Sudha Chandran ( Ramola in Kahin Kissii Roz) and my wife (Madhvi).

Indira Menon > Hi Rajesh, How are you today? What is your debut serial? Are you doing any films, besides TV Serials?
Rajesh Kumar > My debut was star bestseller in 1999.It was an episodic serial. As of films currently, no project is in hand.

Paparazzi > When was your first brush with camera ?
Rajesh Kumar > It was the star bestseller. I took 12 takes to say one line. The line was "Congratulations....Happy Marriage Anniversary".

Ronny > Since the time you have started working, have you seen any major changes in the industry? And how did you cope up with them?
Rajesh Kumar > I have seen changes. People have become more professional in TV and the medium has become as popular as films. As for the coping, I would take each day as it came.

Karishma > What was the most challenging role?
Rajesh Kumar > The role of "Rosesh" was and still is.

Bhomika > Are you a Mama's boy?
Rajesh Kumar > Not after marriage...Little bit of deviation is there.

Abhi > When is your Birthday?
Rajesh Kumar > 20 th of January.

Indira Menon> Are you looking for any film offer or are happy and satisfied in the world of small screen and drama?
Rajesh Kumar > I am very satisfied with the world of small screen and I feel that it's better to live as a king onTV than being a beggar in films.

Rajesh Kumar > Just trust your destiny and believe in your self.

Paparazzi > Are you religious?
Rajesh Kumar > Very much. I keep (Install) Ganpati (Lord Ganesh) at my place during the festival.

Gayatri > Tell us about the off screen Rajesh Kumar?
Rajesh Kumar > Simple, honest, biwi ka bhakt (devoted to wife) and generally down to earth.

Gomti> How do you improve on your acting?
Rajesh Kumar > It comes with experience and observation.

Suhas > What goes into enhancing the performance from the one that is given in the script?
Rajesh Kumar > Improvisations and with the director's help.

Clod > Are you very choosy about what assignments you take. Or, you just take whatever comes your way?
Rajesh Kumar > Lately, I have become choosy. Initially, I used to take up whatever came my way.

Paparazzi > Who out of your co-actors do you highly rate?
Rajesh Kumar > There are two to three of them. One is Ratna Pathak Shah (Maya), Satish Shah (Indravadhan), Sumit Raghavan (Sahil) and Deven Bhojani (director and actor).


Over_the_hill > When did you realise acting was what you wanted take up as a career?
Rajesh Kumar > I still don't know when it happened. I actually came to know when I did the show - Star Best Seller.

Giva > Do you identify with any of your onscreen characters? Which one and why?
Rajesh Kumar > " Subodh" in Baa Bahu or Baby because I am romantic like him and practical at the same time.

Sweety > Does being an actor means you don't get time for your family?
Rajesh Kumar > Yes, it does.

Mita> Do you prefer to read the scripts in advance?
Rajesh Kumar > Yes, I do prefer.
